Our negotiations for July will be moved to the beginning of August.
A personal issue on the management negotiation team will prevent attendance and cannot be avoided. I have had the situation explained to me and I agreed to give the time that is needed for them to respond.
I will book the negotiation room for the second week in August in the meantime.
If you guys want to have a general meeting, let's have one.
Give me some dates and times for each of the shifts to attend two seperate 2 hour meetings. I would like them to start at 1pm each time and have them at the IBEW Local 363 Building. Any day but Tuesday will probably work for me.
We can have some good general discussions.
I hope some of the detractors come to heckle me.....lol
YES!!!! It's time to air it all out and get on the same page.
ReplyDeleteGet ready Sam....Put on your gloves..
ReplyDeleteSam, can you give us details why the meetings were pushed back another month?
ReplyDeleteIt is a family/medical issue that cannot be avoided. It was the right thing to do on our part.
ReplyDeleteOk, thank you. I hope its nothing serious. Will keep them in my prayers for a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteYou are right Sam...It's the right thing to do but do they lose their Perfect Attendance Day or their Holiday Pay....I would !!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe received news yesterday that the mother of Mike F. the Senior Labor Attorney for ABINBEV had passed away.
ReplyDeleteWe want to send out the condolences and sympathies of all of the members of IBEW Local 363 to Mike and his family in their time of sorrow. Our prayers are with you Mike.
Yes, Mike's a good man. Mike, I'm sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteMike,
ReplyDeleteWe extend our condolences to you and your family.
We are anxious to move on Sam. We certainly aren't going into this with a head of steam. I think our discussions will be good and those "money is everything" people should be ready to put up better numbers in return. We need to focus on long term security and building for the future. I will be there to see who's heckling, but I don't think they'll show.
ReplyDelete9:07 Can you explain what you mean by not having a full head of steam and people should be putting up better numbers?
ReplyDeleteI see a few hecklers out there and most team members are on the same page. I also see people working their butts off especially in this heat wave. There might be some that don't give 100% but thats managements resposibility. Maybe I'm not understanding what you've written but maybe you can shed some light on that for me. If I've misunderstood what you've written I apologize for that.
Agreed. We might not have much momentum but most of us are working our tails off.
ReplyDeleteAny truth to the story that management did their Enernoc program with Central Hudson, shut down the plant and involuntarily sent home team members, who will probably not get paid for the amount of the day they were sent home?
ReplyDeleteNothing illegal or immoral about that. What's your point 5:42?
ReplyDeleteUntil it happens to you 11:44...Or our great management team get real creative and sends you home at midnight and tells you to report back at 4 to start up. The Utility can call this at any time only 4 times a year .
ReplyDeleteI agree with 11:44. We can't really make an issue out of this. It's a business. And we have to be business partners with them on this. There are bigger issues to deal with and a good contract will offset these circumstances by a lot. I am sympathetic to our fellow negotiators, but also ready to get on with it. I doubt our pay raises will be retroactive.
ReplyDeleteHey 11:52....See what i mean they got creative...can't let your guard down ever.
