The Talking Heads Have Spoken

Your union, IBEW Local 363 and your reps have bargained all of the language pertaining to hours and working conditions. Even though it was a long process, we believe that we have examined each Article of the contract with an eye toward your best interest in every one.

Make no mistake, this was no picnic for your co-workers at that table and it took a lot of dedication and drive to do what those guys and ladies did. we fought for every inch. It got heated a few times but on a whole, everyone respected the other side. We wanted to come out of those negotiations with a mutual respect and understanding for each others concerns. That was our plan and we feel that we have followed it through.

We are waiting on the company reps to caucus with their corporate people about your financial compensation. They have their own opinion about what is fair and right for you. That will take place in the next week or so. What I can tell you is that they believe that you are extremely well compensated already and are struggling with adding to that. I believe you guys need that contract more now than ever. Soon we will review it all and you will vote and decide that question.

  1. I think we all expected the low balling corporate had in mind for us. Thats ok Corporate Boys. We will have a written contract and with that is a set of rules you will have to follow. All we needed was the rules and now the game begins. Your management team in Newburgh can't handle us with rules they have to follow. Sam you'll be a busy man with this group.

  2. The salaries of Americas workers are in Sharp decline even as many corporation rake in record profits including AB-Inbev. In 2009, working class Americans wage represented only 1% of our economic growth, while corporate profits comprised nearly 90% of that growth. Here in New York household incomes slid more than 4% in 2009 alone. Theses statistics can be found in yesterday's times. I have a friend who works for coca cola, and told me that they just re-negotiated there new contract, 13% over 5 years, more in their pensions, better medical, and the list goes on. I am embarrassed some times when asked why Ab-Inbev has treated us since the merger. I am envious when he tells me how he is treated and what his company does for him. When I read that we are extremely well compensated, I would agree that we were before the merger, certainly not now. When I look at my bottom line before the merger and look at it today it is grossly lopsided. We ate constantly being asked to do more with less, and as a Gen-tech it is a constant....R. MOTT

  3. If this is really the path corporate wants to take us down, they need to stop pretending we are 'a culture of owners', as their 10 principles BS states. We are a culture of hostages stuck in a poor economy, and they are showing that they intend to take full advantage of the situation..

Wonder if the light bulb has gone on yet for them that the more experienced workers that leave, the poorer our performance gets? Ours and not jobs that are learned quickly and easily, yet there seems to be a belief that with enough SOP's a damn monkey could do what we do. It sure as hell makes ME want to 'go the extra mile' for them!

  4. Time to speak up America. Companies merge and then start the ax machine. merging of companies takes jobs away and decreases competition. The American people have got to start sacrificing immediate gratification for long term and if that means putting your job on the line for the benefit of your children we must do so. And if that means standing up to the CEO's so be it we will not stand for corporate greed no more.

On a side note I'm too chicken shit to do it on my own so I;m calling all of you.

  5. Dont be scared--Keep your head up. Sam> Thank you for the update. IO hope they take into consideration the profit we make for them--the long and difficult hours. The plant being 93-95 degrees because the chiller is down., Abinbev had a 26 percent increase in profits last quarter>I am sure there is more i can think of but i am tired--we had a rough night last night. Also if we need some weight to throw around-let me know--I have some.......

  7. "NO RESPECT I TELL YA NO RESPECT" - Well Folks, I think we all had an idea that the Company would do this to us. Somehow all that bullshit they talked about in the Captive Meetings was just that.
Sam thanks to you and all of the IBEW for all the time and hard work. You Reps are the best and I applaud you for your efforts. Sam you must be dissappointed as well. Just the way you worded it you sound as let down as us.
So with that means that last April 2011 we would've gotten nothing in salarlies but a higher amount taken out for medical and whatever for pension. Thats because they feel we are highly compensated all ready. WOW !!!! Hows that for loyalty people?
All the other things in the contract are great and will help us during our day to day operations but the compensation package really tells how a Company feels about their employees. We now know how they feel. So its all business from now on as far as I'm concerned.

    ReplyDelete
  8. This probably will get removed but we know in our hearts that April would have brought the same raise that the other plants got like it always did before. This is all because of the way we voted. You don't really think its about how they feel about us do you? It's our choice to organize so now we need to accept that's not going to change and move on. Its okay! Lrts just get on with it and get back to a making cans. I just want the security of keeping what I have.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I would like to believe that the company will not let us down or spite us like that whether we chose a union or not. Team members will be extremely upset with managment if they do that. That would not be a smart business move. 11:17 you sound a little like a manager talking to me with your lets get on with it. Thanks to Sam 363 and all the reps for your hard work

    ReplyDelete
  10. The company is run by morons, of course they dont care what you think. They have turned this place into the worst running plant in the system. Let you down, havent you experienced enough of their sarcasm since this all began? They dont care how we run. If they did, they wouldnt have done all the stupid shit they have. Remember Tony saying he gets it,during the union drive? What exactly did he get? Better yet what exactly did he do after he got it? I have little belief they care about Newburgh. Look what they have done not what they have said.Only a raise and fair treatment will change my mind that they get it.

    ReplyDelete
  11. 11:17 your probably right but I won't just accept it and move on. I need a cash infusion.

  12. I will now only give as much to keep my job and absolutly nothing more. and if they fire me i will sue and matter of fact if i trip and fall i will sue if i cut my lip on a bottle of beer that i will never drink i will sue. i am also letting all my friends, family and public know what kind of company this is words they spread quick.

    ReplyDelete
  13. This is a good test to see if what the company has told us was real or not. Now they have to show us the cards. I hope they keep their word r-e-s-p-e-c-t is a two way street.

    ReplyDelete
  14. hold your head high, joe, sam and all the other reps. you guys gave it your best shot. the co. always held all the cards. now we have a contract and its time to move on.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I havent seen anything yet, when can we see it. Did we get a raise? Did we get more vacation time? I havent signed anything, dont we have to vote on it? Did we get sick days? did we get a signing bonus?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hey 1:31 we don't need tantrums. It does not represent us well. None of us are happy to hear the company position but it might just be a ploy to make us feel good about ourselves when they come back with a little bitty increase. Think. Don't forget about all of the good stuff we are baking into this contract. Threatening to sue isnt gonna make anyone want to up the ante. Good professional negotiators like Sam and the reps arent going to lie down. Have faith guys!

    ReplyDelete
  17. After the company gets back to us we will know exactly what we have. At that time we will meet and go over the entire contract. That is when you will see it all. Everyone will be informed of when that will be.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I will not settle for 1% I'll tell you that. We havent got a raise in 3 years and our bottom line has decreased because of all the increases in our bennifits and not to mention everything they took away from us. This has gone on far too long, we need to stand strong and send a message. They choose to put this plant in the location because of transportation reasons. It is a good location for all of the north east, and its not cheep to live here. New york is one of the highest cost of living state in America. We are not over paid, and for them to compare us to Jacksonville, Fl. is a joke. Jacksonville pays no state tax, thats a 8% raise right there, and it is also one of the cheepest places to buy a house in the country not to mention car insurance, so you might pay a little more for home insuance big deal. There's a reason why everyone retires there! I'm sick of hearing about our labor is too high, guess what managers your part of that too. How many Qa's do we need? Who do you think makes the product that make the profits. You keep cutting manpower and look how we are running like shit!! All these changes you people put in place are killing this plant, you are running this place into the ground!! There has been so many changes in the plant in the last few years I cant even tell you what the cause is but I know we use to run 6 million cans probably 4-5 days out of the week a few years ago. Everything you managers change out on the floor effects our production, dont you see that or are you really that stupid. And you have to have a degree to be a manager, Maybe we need to put the old system back in place when the managers worked their way up and knew something about making cans. Now the only thing you know is crunching the numbers except your math is wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Is 1% the rumor? I thought nothing was offered yet. If that's it then it's really not a raise because it's a wash with dues. Hopefully They are bringing a number around 3% or better.

    ReplyDelete
  20. If we keep making shit, we will need a QA manager for every filling location!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I heard 3% first yr then 1.5 for 2nd then 1 for 3rd. 1 dollar in pension and med. stays the same.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I also heard the rumor Dan is leaving in September.

    ReplyDelete
  23. This blog said the company said we are extremely compensated, what does that mean for us? Are they saying no Raise? This has taken so long, I dont think I can handle another year of no raise. I bought a house 12 yrs ago and I cannot afford to keep it. Please help us Sam.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I heard 4% first yr, and 3 for the next.I heard no changes in anything else. I can live with that.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I want to put an end to all the rumors on what percentages were settled on. We have not completed negotiating yet as Sam stated. It does not help anyone to start,or perpetuate rumors on what has been discussed at the table. I will not undo what we have worked so hard for. We need to allow the negotiating process to continue so that we can complete the task we set out to do. I ask all of you to be patient a little longer and the truth will be revealed shortly.

    ReplyDelete
  26. SAM OR JOE how come there is no more negotiation meetings set to finish the most important part of the contract? and why is it just gonna be a phone call away with no bargaining? how do we bargain in good faith over the phone?or is the contract done.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Let me give you some brief information about myself. I live in St Louis and currently work for AbInbev for 2 years. Let me say as I would not want to reveal information that would expose myself or my colleagues that I make daily decisions for the company and really cant go beyond this information.
I have been reading your site for a few months now and I and many others that I have contacts with sympathize with you. In my many years as a professional I had not experienced such disregard from the very people that own this company. I would suspect that if you are looking for monetary gain this could become a battle that your not going to win and as a matter of fact many of us here are made to believe that we are also over compensated. We are actually on your side and wish you well! hopefully this economy will turn around so we can all have the courage to move on from this one sided company.
I'll keep in touch and sign off

  28. Sam, If we do have to go out on strike, do you have some kind of guideline's we can follow so we can start preparing? Believe me I hope it doesn’t come down to that, but I just want to be prepared just in case. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  29. Strike? Who said anything about a strike? You people have to calm down. Give Sam and Reps a chance will ya. Oh my god you all please relax. Sam gave you a little info about their talks so you would be informed some and you all are running crazy with it. The negotiating team has never given us any info on this contract until after it gets agreed on. They have been consistant with that with reason they have addressed in the past.
You are not starving comon. If you are then you bit off more than you can chew and there's plenty of OT to help you out. Matter of fact with 3 on 3 off that gives you plenty of time to get a second job.
We all would like the quality of life we eperienced in the past but none of us are starving. Let the system work and then we can make rational decisions with Sam and Reps guiding us. Take a deep breath everyone.

  30. starving? I'm starving I am divorced because i gave 100 percent to this company making ab # 1 that was my goal and my ex couldnt understand. Thank you for your kind words and your support. We are fighting for alot of things we deserve, to have rules written down on paper, and to stop having stuff taken away from us. Hopefully it works out for us and the company. We will see how it plays out. Take care and keep an eye out on the outcome. Like a roller coaster ride>it could get bumpy. Thank you Reps and Sam for your hard work and long hours. Go Team....

  33. Everyone needs to relax and let negotiating take it's course. Remember the contract it's self is worth more than any raise we can get.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well, it's already worth 1% of our wages in dues to have it. So Ithink it's fair to have an increase beyond that. It's been a long time. You guys are right that it's premature to be jumpy but we should not allow a contract at any price attitude prevail. It's okay to want a nice raise and okay to say so.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I don't know where people hear 4%-3% 1% over whatever amount of time. getting prepared for strikes. What????? Really people. A few of you are just shit stirrers or are like the person yelling fire in the movie theater. Unless you absolutely hear something from a Rep.or neg. that was at the meeting that week. DO NOT BELIEVE ANY THING YOU HERE AT WORK OR READ ON HERE. BECAUSE THERE ISN'T A REP OR A NEG. THAT IS GOING TO TELL ANY TEAM MEMBER NUMBERS OR PERCENTAGES AT ALL!!! PERIOD. NOT AT ALL!! HERE THAT!!NATA, ZIPPO

WE AS A TEAM DID NOT GO ALL YEAR TRAVELING BACK AND FORTH - DAYS AND NIGHTS, ON OUR DAYS OFF AND ALSO DAYS WORKED TO THESE MEETINGS JUST TO BLAB ABOUT WHAT WAS SAID OR TRANSPIRED IN OUR MEETINGS.
SO THE ONES THAT ARE SAYING THEY HEARD 4% OR 3%. IS NON - SENSE. IF THEY DID OR YOU DID, YOUR HEARING IT ALL WRONG AND DON'T BELIEVE ANY OF IT.
YOU WILL ALL BE TOLD AT THE RIGHT TIME WHAT WAS (AGREED UPON). AND THE GUY WHO WANTS TO PREPARE FOR STRIKING, WELL THERE'S CARDBOARD AND BROKEN PALLETS OUT BACK, JUST GET A MATERIAL PASS SIGNED WHEN YOU TAKE THEM TO MAKE YOUR SIGN. MAKE IT BIG AND BRIGHT BECAUSE YOUR GOING TO BE BY YOURSELF!!!

STRIKING. REALLY. COME ON. I DON'T WANT TO CALL YOU A MORON BUT REALLY. STOP AND THINK BEFORE YOU TYPE WILL YA.

LET'S SAVE THE REACTIONS AND THE HYPERBOL FOR WHEN WE ACTUALLY HERE SOMETHING CONCRETE.

ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE AT ALL IN GETTING ALL JACKED UP OVER RUMORS RIGHT NOW.

WE WILL CONTINUE TO DO WHAT WE KNOW AND HAVE BEEN DOING FOR A LONG TIME NOW.

AS BEEN CONTINUALLY PRACTICED IN THE PAST AND CURRENTLY,WE ACT AND PREFORM PROFESSIONALLY.

STOP THE NEGATIVE NONSENSE IT'S WASTED ENERGY!!
SAVE YOUR ENERGY FOR THE REAL INFORMATION, NOT THE FAKE TALK. WE HEAR FAKE TALK EVERYDAY.

AND FOR THE ONES THAT ARE SMART ENOUGH IF YOU HEAR MORE OF THAT HERE THEN YOU KNOW IT'S JUST THE COUPLE OF NEGATIVE STRAGGLERS THAT WALLOW IN THERE OWN WEAK MINDEDNESS - ENGAGING IN THERE FAVORITE PASS TIME OF STIRRING THE POT OF POOH! AND THAT'S NOT WINNIE EITHER.

  43. Rick - The event of a strike can be a real one, just ask our brother's and sister's at International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) in Massachusetts battling Verizon. I am sure it is on the minds of many in our membership. So before you attempt a lame way to belittle a fellow union member for a valid question take a good look at yourself. You are a rep, please try to act like one - instead of posting such a unprofessional a response! The question was for Sam.

    ReplyDelete
  44. The problem is, that with the plainly stated "no strike" and "work together that all might prosper" attitudes which 363 has been espousing since the beginning of this adventure, a provacative question about strikes is ludicrous. go on and try to cover your tracks and deflect attention, but Rick was RIGHT ON! there is no place to talk about a strike here, and if the question was for sam it proves one of two things: 1) you weren't paying attention, or 2) you're just blowing smoke because you were trying to bait somebody...

Sorry, you need to get real, or else you lose either way...

  45. And by the way, I am the Hangman...I did not vote for organization originally...I was skeptical of it's ability to bring anything positive to the situation...it doesn't particularly even suit my needs at the point I am at in my employment....BUT I'M damn glad that some of my co-workers have more sense than I had at that moment. This is the way we will survive... as professionals who know what the hell they're doing, and want to do it better than anyone else in the world!

  46. That is refreshing to hear D Crew Dog. I am not perfect but I and my reps and agents try hard for you and your co-workers and just like you guys, that is all we can do.

Just to let you guys know, strikes are the choice of the people. It is NOT the union that votes for a strike, it is the people. Let's see what the future brings, maybe you guys are stronger together than you think.

You are all good honest hardworking people who really care about their trade and it is a trait you all have. I will say the old AB interview process worked pretty well. You guys deserve to have a good, fair contract for the area you live in and the work you do.

  49. what is the contract good for if we can not profit from it? do you guys really want to pay 1% so the next supervisor can get the overtime policy right? 3% or bust!! can not go another year without compensation.

  50. If we do not get a increase in our pay--do we still have to pay 1%? I am confused? We work hard for our money--I am looking for 3% also. My feet bother me alot from standing on them al day long..With the money i spend on powder-i could retire...Britto-come to Newburgh and work a rotation (6 weeks) of nights. See how much you enjoy it. We work 3 nights in a row--Then we are off 3 nights in a row. Do you think that is easy? Give it a try..

  53. What a bunch of Phonies. You don't even know what the contract has in it yet. Your not paying 1% yet. You've saved how much all ready in medical costs with frozen benefits. Don't hear you crying bout that. When you come to the meeting and go over the contract then you can bitch. At that time you have every right to stand before all of us and do that. You will have a choice. You don't have to pay the dues thats a choice also.

    ReplyDelete
  54. We have accomplished in basis what we set out to do. Protect ourselves from an out of control management team bent on counting beans at the expense of the main reason for success. The employee. The dairy farmer treats his stock of cows better than his own family at times because they are the means to his end. Unfortunately, A-B Inbev has lost sight of this. Monetary gain in a contract is always a great thing to wrest from the bean counters, but in reality, our quest was a level playing fiel, where the rules of the game are clearly stated, "Justice For All" if you will. That is and accomplishment in itself. Anything above that is cake. If the offers and counter offers seems condescending or even offending, well the fact we saved our dignity from becoming "third world" minded employees, well I think we sent a clear message that's not to be! When this contract is close to expiring we now know how to deal with them, how they play their game. And we'll have the life of the contract to figure out how to beat them at their own game. So, chin up! Whatever they offer, no matter how lame, we have won the first round. Together! So stay focused and cohesive and we will prevail.

    ReplyDelete
  55. PS: Please stop the rumor mongering about what's in the offers and the contract. When it's complete, we'll all know.

  57. Here the secret to a good blog,
First throw in some patriotic theme like "it's all about the great American worker". Then make sure to talk some shit about anyone that is tied to the management team. NEXT, TYPE IN ALL CAPS SO IT SOUNDS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ALL OF THE OTHER MESSAGES! Lastly, make sure those who don't feel victimized but really do want more money are made to feel like they just don't gt it. That makes for a good blog. Oh yeah, don't spread any rumors.
Thanks for shooting down the voice of those who want more than just words. Show us the money. 3%!!

Did you show up and get involved? Probably not.363 wants more than just words. They want secure jobs for their members.

  63. ha,ha, gotta love the pot stirrer's what would we talk about if it wasn't for your pot stirring fodder?? ( I WANT 3% OR BUST - OR NOTHING).

guess what sharp guy.NEWS FLASH! you certainly wasn't gonna get 3% from the company this year. oh yea maybe 3% might have been in the benefit package d have taken away by raising your deductions for your health care cost's this last year.
let me ask you what was the percentage it went up this last year?? oh yeah that's right it was frozen it didn't go up at all, while others had to pay more! humm. keep shouting your 3% and trying to stir the pot. like i have said months earlier your negativity keeps failing and just seem to motive more people towards the union.
so thank you for helping the stewards and the negotiators recruit the few that were still not sure.
3.21 poster. if your still paying 1% then your being conned . lol cause nobodies paid a dime yet. who's collecting that 1% bernie madoff?? haha. your silly. NICE TRY THOUGH!!

11.43 POSTER I'M TYPING IN CAPS BECAUSE YOU SAY IS SOUNDS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE REST. YOU SOUND LIKE A PROFESSIONAL POSTER\BLOGGER OR WHAT EVER. YOU SEEM SO IN TO IT. MAYBE YOU SHOULD SHOOT IN ANOTHER DIRECTION AND ENTER A NEW FIELD, SOMETHING YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO HANDLE A LITTLE BETTER. you sounded a little more defensive while defending the managers?? swearing and all - humm?
The blog has at times become a venting tool. you should not be getting your answers or your so called voice shot down using the blog. I maybe be wrong but if you had attended the meetings you had ample opportunity to voice your opinions there! And get the proper answers Instead of giving us the SECRET TO A GOOD BLOG SPEECH. HA,HA,HA,HA WHAT IS THAT? YOU SOUND LIKE RACHEL MADCOW I MEAN MADOW!! not sure what any of those points have to do with contract negotiations or with a beer company that is hacking away everything good that used to be associated with it the old company?

The company is the one you should be barking at.

It almost sounds like your blaming the union for what's going on! are you? what has the union done to harm you or any of you team members right now?????????????????????

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hope some day some of you will clear your heads and open your eyes just a bit and see that the company other than a job is offering us absolutely nothing right now and trying to take everything from us. Just look at the managers that have left and ask some of the ones that retired a few years ago, how they feel about serving the company doing all the dirty work for them all those years and then having it or alot of there benefits taken away or increased more and more each year. when they retired they thought they had it made.
I WONDER IF THEY BLAME THE UNION TOO??

A couple of you keep trying your hardest to blame the union when they so far have done nothing but serve us 110%.
But i know i digress. some of you will never be able to see through the fog!
I don't say these things because your a (no) voter. i say this because of statements like these.
7.27 POSTER.(what is the contract good for if we can not profit from it? do you guys really want to pay 1% so the next supervisor can get the overtime policy right? 3% or bust!! can not go another year without compensation.)
I mean really, maybe it's me but i,m sorry i don't want to offend anyone here but that statement i just don't get it.
what's this? ( cannot go another year without compensation).
well really nobody wants to do that. BUT WHAT DO YOU REALLY THINK THE COMPANY WAS GOING TO GIVE YOU ANYWAY. BE HONEST ABOUT THAT QUESTION. AFTER WHAT HAS HAPPENED SENSE WE GOT BOUGHT OUT - WHAT DO YOU THINK THE COMPANY WAS GOING TO GIVE US?????? - - not trying to pick on you i just don't get that thinking. please explain it better if you want to or can.
    thank you.
AT THIS POINT IT'S ABOUT STOPPING THE PILLAGE.
AND MY HONEST OPINION A CONTRACT WILL HELP DO THAT.
IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE TO BE A (NO) THAT IS FINE BUT STOP TRYING TO BLAME OTHER THINGS THEN THE COMPANY IT'S SELF. THEY HOLD THE CARDS TO OUR FUTURE AND A CONTRACT WILL HELP US RESHUFFLE THE DECK AND KEEP THE DEALER IN CHECK.

  65. all of us have a little ways that we all don't agree with, but we will get through this.

if we continue to do what we KNOW WE ARE GOOD AT. we will prevail. No doubt in my mind.

we are a very good group of people.
BUT YOU CAN'T KEEP BLAMING THE UNION FOR WHAT HAS HAPPENED SO FAR. LET'S FACE IT WE HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS BEING LEAD DOWN THIS ROAD. THE ROAD TO PROTECTION MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT WE DIDN'T START DOWN THIS ROAD A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO.
AND I WAS A BIG,BIG ANTI UNION GUY . I TELL YOU THAT FOR SURE. BUT THE TIMES HAVE MOST CERTAINLY HAVE CHANGE. YOUR ETHER CHANGE WITH IT AND GET AHEAD OF IT. OR YOU GET LEFT BEHIND.

I WILL FIGHT TO THE DEATH TO NOT BE LEFT BEHIND.
THIS IS OUR WAY OF LIVING FOLKS. THE TIMES FOR SITTING BACK AND NOT GETTING INVOLVED ARE OVER.

A FEW DETERMINED MINORITY WILL CONQUER ARMIES.

THANK YOU. AND I HOPE I DIDN'T OFFEND ANYONE THAT IS NOT MY INTENT, I DO GET FRUSTRATED LIKE EVERYONE ELSE THOUGH. SO PLEASE EXCEPT MY APOLOGIES IF I DID.

  67. Your math is a little fuzzy Dr. Phil. If we got a 2% raise this year like the other plants got, it adds up to more than the benefits package going from 28% to 35%

2% of $75,000(possibly the avg sal) is $1500
    $2500(family medical/dental).
So thats about $10,000/yr for 100% of the bill.
So going to 35% would be about $3500/yr.
$3500-$2500=$1000 more that you would pay/yr.
    $1500(your raise)-$1000=$500 your ahead.

Of course if you make more than $75k or decline insurance or have a single plan you make out even better. So can we please stop talking about how great things are that we didn't get stuck with the medical increase, it's a bad argument. And oh by the way. How did the 401k thing go for us this year too. I remember hearing we better vote the union in or we're going to lose blah, blah, blah...guess what, we lost on the 401k, we lost on the raise, and we're going to lose on the medical.

So please keep trying to brainwash me into believing how great its been this last year.

Well, gee wally, ya still have a job.

  69. 6:20pm said "guess what, we lost on the 401k, we lost on the raise, and we're going to lose on the medical."

Well should we be mad at the one who did it to us (the company) or at the one that wanted to stop it? (the union)

If you think that for a minute that this company was planning to take care of us until the union came in you are ignorant, a suck ass or you just like pain. and I bet trying to stop them was quite a difficult job for our union with the lack of support and backing of you and some others. Publicly bashing the union while they were representing us and actually backing of the company against us, your own team members was assinine. Nice job by you.

Soon you can see what working against the union did for us. Can't wait to see how much the company listened to you.

  74. Thank you Dr. Phil. It's always nice to see dedicated people that can see reality the way it is.
It's ok to back the company you work for but when they start to take everything away it's time for some real honest support and standardization and PROFESSIONALISM.
THANKS SAM AND STEVE. AND THE REPS AND NEG. FOR ALL THE HARD WORK AND EFFORTS YOU HAVE ALL PUT IN.

  75. Hey Sam,
I know you have very transparent through this whole thing.i got information the contract is done and there will be a vote at the hall Sept, 9 at 1:30. Is there any way you can post the contract on this site so we all can look at it
before so if any of us have any questions or concerns we can ask you at the meeting. I am sure the majority would like this and also believe this would help stop all these rumors all are speaking about.. and avoid any confusion.
