  3. Hey negotiators, just wanted to get this one in under the wire, since it IS the season...

Aren't we ALL over the whole 'no sick days' experience? You know, your line mate comes in looking like death warmed over, and then two days later, lo and behold, you're also feeling like shit. Does this really make sense in the big picture? If management thinks so, they really need some new glasses!

    Thanks and continued success!

  4. I like the math, kind of like when I was trying to teach my kids what they brought home from school. But, the best line is at the end of the clip "I don't want to see you boys cheated". That's what it's all about. We are going to negotiate with the company, and we don't want you boys (and girls) cheated. We have a contract proposal that is very honest and fair to everyone (us and the company). There are some things that will take more compromise, negotiation, to achieve. Remember, we aren't out to hurt the company, we are out to preserve our rights as employees and our way of life as we (and we are pretty unique) know it. Keep up the good work and make it hard to say no. I agree with you 8:04. We infect each other because you have to come to work ill. What will they do when some sickness that could have been avoidable by having a sick day wipes out an entire group? Put Marie on a printer? (Sorry, Marie, no offense intended.) But, it's negotiable. Stay united, we really have become the team that MCC management couldn't form. Remember we're "empowered employees"!

  5. It's a sharp knife to a short life. I see the writing on the locker room wall. The sky is falling. Only after the Titanic went down did the people start to listen. But then it was too late. Tony is coming to spread Xmas cheer to those turkeys falling under the axe. Fear not cause its always darkest before the light. Damn that water is cold.

  6. what the heck did that mean?

  7. I think it means: the Smoker you drink the player you get. It means don't drink and blog. Call 1-800-BUD-RIDE,and get a designated blogger. It's free and it saves livers. If it means something else either Tennyson, the poet, is going to be pissed off or someone really needs EAP.

  8. This is going to take some time to get this done. Only time will tell which side is more resolute in their convictions. A contract that is decided upon by both sides can be attained only if each side wants to negotiate in good faith.
Its obvious that both sides wants to have what they feel is a necessity. Both sides need each other to be successful.
We the hourlies have to be resolute in our basic concepts of what constitues a fair contract. Do we want to hurt the company? No we dont. Then why does the company want to hurt us? I dont think they do.
I think that our requests will be fair and cover all the concerns that the people on the floor have.We have to make individual decisions on whether or not we can live with the agreement that finally gets reached. That only you the employee can decide. It comes down to that. That is the power of the individual finally. Only thru voting for the union have we been able to make our individual voices count.
We have heard your concerns and listened to your wishes. Only the company can tell us No.And only they can say Yes.
Anxiety is natural for everyone. Even the management personnel are not exempt. Be assured they are too. They need us. They know that.
My point is we have a symbiotic relationship. To keep that they and us must equitably accomodate our needs. We must to keep what we have.If newburgh wants to remain what it is we must find common ground or all is lost for both sides.
It can be achieved. Its going to take creativity on both parts to become one.
We are ready to create a new entity that will succeed in bringing us to the pinnacle of our history. Is the company?

  9. OH TONY......You weren't a very friendly fellow today.....You showed your true colors.....Whats the matter we played you this time?....I thought it didn't matter what we decided....You are sooo full of it.....We made the right choice...By the way when you made that sudden right hand turn at Washer 1 this morning.....I think you broke Warrens Nose !!!!!!

  10. Well well well, what do we have here? A sour puss? Come on Tony ,you have been made a rich man by the people in Newburgh. Did you ever think that for moment we have OUR interests in the forefront! Every year you would take a little bit more either from health care costs or below cost of living percentage raises.Did it ever occur to you that when Inbev bought us we American workers want some type of commitment from the company? You kept chipping away more and more yet you prospered. Now that we are a union and still doing our jobs your true personality has worn through the fake outer layer. You cared about the money not about the people. If you did care about the people you would have taken care of us monitarily. Prove me wrong, I dare you to show that you do want Newburgh to be taken care of. Negotiate in good faith.

  11. It was a good cardio workout for those chair jockeys. It was kind of funny in a sad way. Tony blindly blundering around the plant, the chosen followers jockeying and bumping into each other. First stop, Warren's only job, the wall of story boards. Data by Dianne, most likely. 64 colors by Tomlins. The scowl on Tony's face should be noted. At least he didn't bring a new plant manager with him...this time. He should bring a new "Operations Manager" oh, please Tony Claus.Don't blame the "union" for the way the plant looked. We ran out of cleaning supplies before the weekend. Austerity budget courtesy of Tony, Kramer and Brito. So traipse through our little patch of paradise and criticize all you want. It is the friut of your actions. If you want to assess blame, just look in the mirror.Salud!
And as a postscript there was the sacrificial "hair test during an upper management visit" done to a bald guy today. Visits seem to not be a good thing. Stay clean.

  12. Uh oh whats next.Isnt funny how during the union campaign Newburgh was in good shape. we were wonderful.Things were great. sales were going thru the roof.
Poof a few short months later, we suck, sales are down.Everyone is the enemy because we are a union. And negotiations are coming up next week. Wow how dumb do they think we are?
Let me guess, Tonys visit today wasnt fun was it.Now comes the you guys suck speeches. The plant looked like shit huh. Thats what their going to say.Our quality is going to suck too.Watch, we are going to be near closing the plant down . mark my words.Woe is Newburgh.
Bullshit. We are great. We make cans period. fast. good.and a shit load. So I aint buyin it Tony.

  13. You go rock! we havent changed one thing we do. If the plant sucks its because of the decision makers only. We dont make the decisions we just have to live with them.

  15. you would THINK that someone as evolved as Tony or should we say, Ranjive, would be able to access PM Rover and see all those entries on housekeeping PM's where floor mopping was "not performed or recorded" or not completed due to "missing parts" i.e. bypass.

But wait...were we maybe set up by corporate purchasing to allow this ridiculous charade to happen? No hurry on that delivery, vendor, it can wait 120 days for all we care....(nice number, ain't it?)

They can all lick my toadly ass! If we ain't making cans for you tony, what exactly do you have to manage? A glass plant in Texas that mangles people at a frightening rate? Get real, get a grip, and get over it all ready! If you're not getting product out the door, cost cutting means nada. Tell you what, just give us what we need to work, and quit spending money needlessly to come to Newburgh!
