110,000 Hits! Thank You To All Who Support The MCC Newburgh IBEW Local 363 Members

Thank you so much to all of the people who are following our story from near and far. We appreciate your interest and support. As many people know, contract negotiations are a fragile meeting of the minds from both the management and workers sides of the aisle.

The many issues that are brought to the table to discuss, coupled with the many past experiences in regard to those issues - all add up to the contract.

We have made some really great progress, fought over a few things, changed a few things around for both sides benefit and are getting very close to the end of this process. We think we have the makings of a good first contract so far.

There is a possibility that we may get to the financial discussions toward the end of this next bargaining session - which will be in May. We expect that June will definitely be in play for everything financial to be discussed or in line to be discussed.

Talk to your reps about your ideas or to give them your input - they want to hear from you. When we solidify the date for negotiations we will post it here on this site. As was stated previously, if you would like to visit us during negotiations - we would love to see you - just text your rep that you are in the lobby and we will see you on our next break out.

Glad to hear that there are some plans to get together as a unit among some of the people there outside of and after work. Good move. Let's start building. Leaders need to emerge and those who want to be part need to have that opportunity to be involved in the discussion. Keep your ears open and go see what's happening.

Stay strong, stay solid

  4. 9:26 / 9:46 same guy - We can finish quicker and screw it up for you if you would like. Maybe YOU should have volunteered to be a rep and we could have done it quicker with your expertise.

  5. that is the same person sent in by the company to disrupt us. lets not get off track and waste our breath on malcontents and complainers and suck ups. we need to keep focused on our contract. you reps have our support so forge on.

  6. A Yankees, a Mets, and Red Sox fan are climbing a mountain, and arguing about who loves his team more. The Mets fan insists he is the most loyal. ''This is for the Mets'', he yells, and jumps off the mountain. Not to be outdone, the Yankees fan is next to profess his love for his team. He yells "This is for the Yankees !" and pushes the Red Sox fan off the mountain.

  11. I want 4 weeks vacation. Ive been here forever on the floor for over 20 yrs. days and nights. Night like the cushy office jobs. We are on concrete all day with timed breaks and the front office gets more breaks than advanced auto parts.

  12. Does anyone know how much a family medical plan premium costs in the other plants right now? What is it going to be next year? I bet more than what a 1% raise would cover!

  13. Company sales volume down. Profits up. price of beer flat. Where does all the money for the company come from? Us.

  14. Agreed. Lets get behind the union and push. the company doesn't have a track record of giving much as far as I have seen.

  15. Count me and my Support in. Lets do it.....Thank you all for you hard work.....

  16. I for one did not forget why we caled the union in the first place so you can count me in too. The good news is that we will have a contract when we are done. we won't be flying by the seat of our pants anymore. Go reps.

  17. I worked on D Crew the other night and I see what everyone's complaining about. Superman flies around the plant all night looking for evildoers instead of just letting the pro's do their jobs. In the pre-shift there was a fine display of his non-expertise of how things work. I think it's time for Mr. Larson to give up his new playmate and let him go to D Crew where he belongs and become the superintendant. He seems like he'll listen to the troops and get an education in the business instead of marching in as a know-nothing know-it-all. It would boost that Crew's morale immensely. Maybe even productivity. Instead of looking over their shoulders they can look forward and focus on the job.

  18. No, please. D Crew can keep hime. On D Crew he is under control. With hime back on his old job, hes busting everyones balls for his own enjoyment. Theres no gain for production or the company or us with owens bull. he just likes to bust balls cause he can. I wonder if Dan K gets soem enjoyment out of knowing this.

  21. As i sit here and think of the negative thing's that popup on this blog i wonder, where the negative voters will be after our signed contract. Will they huddle up and pat our backs and say i was with you all the way or WILL THEY BE GROWN ADULTS AND SAY WE WERE THE MINORITY AND WE FAILED. It's easy to contradict others when you don't have to answer for your actions.THIS UNION VOTE WAS BROUGHT ABOUT BECAUSE OF TEAM MEMBERS INSECURTIES AND DISBELIEF'S IN MANAGEMENT.So non-beliefers and disrupters fall to the rear, the real team members and work force will lead the way to our own well being.BE SAFE BE UNION BE RESPECTFUL OF EACH OTHER...... RESPECTFULLY DAKOTA////////////////////////////P.S. THANK YOU...............SAM

  23. Cant wait to vote again and finish the deal on our contract. It wont be perfect but it will be the first line of defense against an employer who wants to treat us unfairly and keep reducing our compensation so that the unAmerican employer can push our standard of living to equal third world nations.
This country has always been the icon for success around the world, and that causes others to be envious of our status.
The idiotic idea of compensating the number one beer company in the world and the best can company in the world to match an average of all the rest is ridiculous. All that will do is continue the spiral down of compensation as all wages will be reduced as averages keep going down. We all know the moving average will continue down after you reach the peak once you stop the increases.
The American public will do the same to this company once it is aware of what is obvious. The foreigned owned king of beers is no longer the icon of America.
It could be a symbol of a global company that inspires hope in all. A target to shoot for for all companies. Its all up to the company on how it finishes this contest.
Will it hold out its hand and pull us into the leaders slot. Or will it suck it down along with our average incomes.
Make a choice Mr. edmund. Work with us and we can be great or the alternative is a spiral downward for all. We vote to great how do you vote?

  24. Fox news might want to hear about our American struggle for greatness again. Dont you all think?

America, the land of opportunity? Or the used and disenchanted. Make a choice. Are we Anheuser busch? or ABINBEV? The commercials say Anheuser Busch? The company wants to pay ABINBEV. Choose.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Come on Americans. Stand shoulder to shoulder with eachother. Stand proud tall. Stand American.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Global companies are fine as long as the public knows that they are foreigned owned and directed. Lets not give the false impression that this company is American owned. Its not. Why doesnt the company push the belgium or brazilian flag when there are showing flowing fields of wheat, or the big Clydesdales that are now at the glue factory? They just want to look American not pay American.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Tweek that 401K.All the American ABINBEV employees really appreciate the uppermanagement getting more while we all get less. NOT.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Bring us, up not down ABINBEV.

  33. 7:54 thanks. Know where we stand now. We admit to failure. 4% covers the dues and what we need. Why shouldn't we be rallying for that?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yes - we should be rallying for all that will bring us all forward as the people who make the cans at MCC. Everyone should be in agreement to rally for that.

Let me speak to the one person who comes on here, carries the water for the company and who does not see the union is for the people:

    You get no play here.

You cannot stop the will of the people who see that we - IBEW Local 363 - represent the peoples interests in EVERYTHING WE DO.

You can't get that by now?
Stand over to the side and whine by yourself.

We cannot waste any amount of time playing your silly anti- worker games. This is entirely too important to be playing games with.

I imagine you are the guy I hear stories about in the plant doing the same type of things all day at work that are detrimental to your co-workers - all in the name of getting some brownie points with upper management.

(that's going to stop by the way.)

Well, you get NO points here.

We are building a strong union at MCC. You will have to deal with that and get used to being deleted.

However, please - the next time we are in the same room - if that ever happens - please - take me on - debate me on the merits of working people standing together.

I would love to mop the floor with you in front of the real men and women at MCC.

I'm sure they would find it not only educational but very entertaining.

It was time to point out the problem child - and it was you. Thanks for the opportunity.

  35. Hey 12:00 - Will you please wake up. Are you going to react to someone's opinion. That doesn't look to be an official statement from our negotiating team to me. People like you are just waiting for a reason to bash something, anything. Please find a new job and do us all a favor. If It's that bad leave and save yourself the headache. But you are sure to just hang around and benefit from that contract and just continue to play Monday morning quarterback. Maybe the union should bill you what they have saved you all ready this year without the cost of any dues. Stop the crying and support YOUR cause.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Go get 'em Sam. We are way past arguing with ourselves. If he doesn't support our efforts to get everybody here protected by a contract he should just beat it and find a new company to suck up to.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Agreed. No distractions needed.

    ReplyDelete
  38. We are getting close to having a CONTRACT. Let's not let a fly near the ointment now. The negative poster/complainer/shit stirrer looks like he deserved to see the business end of the fly swatter. Good hit Sam. Support your Reps.

    ReplyDelete
  39. There will come a time when the end of negotiations will be reached. The contract will be finished and an agreement will be ready to take us to our future. I cant wait til that day.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Best way to react to that person is to not react all. He or she got exactly what they wanted, an emotional reaction from many of us. Not so good on our part. Let's refocus now, back to the task at hand. Be done.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Please delete him every time and move on toward the prize, my contract.

    ReplyDelete
  42. This has nothing-zero-to do with this company, but rather the "company" we are getting into bed with.
I am pointing out the truth...And, the tuth is that union leaders are working in conjunction with various leftists groups that are radically, anti-American.

I know you guys are smart and can see this:

Former Obama Green Czar Van Jones (former because it was found out he is an avowed Communist) helped organize April 4th 'We Are One' with the AFL-CIO. He now works for the Center for American Progress. An uber-leftist group funded by George Soros.

Scott Marshall, Vice Chair of The Communist Party USA said his organization is working with the likes of MoveOn.org, the SEIU, AFSCME and others.

Guys, do your homework. You are smarter and better than aligning yourself with these kind of people.
