We understand that OUR MANAGERS will do ANYTHING to talk or scare us away from wanting a contract. We feel it is not their business. It is us mature adults who will decide what services we purchase and for what use. WE'RE GETTIN A UNION IN HERE NOW.
WE NEED TO BECAUSE this is the same reaction they had years back and it was for the same reasons....and WE FELL FOR IT. There IS A BIG DIFFERENCE this time. NOW, we want to become part of IBEW Local 363 - ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL LOCALS IN NEW YORK STATE.
We're not falling for it this time.
WE HAVE NOTHING written down. Which means what we have today means nothing.
WE NEED A WRITTEN CONTRACT LIKE BALL METAL HAS - WITH OUR OWN TERMS AND CONDITIONS!
CLICK BELOW to see or even print the full Ball Metal Contract with IBEW Local 363 AND THEN SEND IN THOSE CARDS. DON'T BE THE LAST TO SMELL THE COFFEE!.
Agreement Between Ball Metal Beverage Container Operations and I.B.E.W. Local Union 363
tHIS IS amazing! Eevery person in our plant needs to read this contract and see how nice it really is we need this there is no dout
ReplyDeleteI agree that is quite the contract,Is it true that you are covered at age 62 to 65 for medical insurance?
ReplyDeleteSend in those cards boys and girls We will do ourselves the biggest favor by having this union and being members of IBEW look at this contract
ReplyDeletewow all there for all to read
8:29 pm - The answer is YES. It is in their contract. The Ball Metal UNION MEMBERS are covered between 62 - 65 for medical insurance.
ReplyDeleteIt's three things that made that happen:
The people, the contract and the union
Did everyone see the Ball metal contract? Read that over! We need that!
ReplyDeletesend in your cards please!
I go on vacation this month I want my yes vote to
ReplyDeletecount if they have a vote and YOU ARE OUT IS THAT COUNTED AS A NO.
Its not a yes. I believe there is a system in place for absentee ballots. Hang tight you may not miss it anyway.
ReplyDeleteThis group of people deserves to have a voice, glad you want to be part of bringing that to everyone.
TO THE GUY FROM THE WINDSOR PLANT TELL US MORE GIVE THIS ADDRESS TO THE OTHER TEAM MEMBERS WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR WANT DAN DID AT THAT PLANT.
ReplyDeleteDO YOU THINK WE ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK GOING UNION. BEING NON UNION WITH CARLOS IS ROUGH.
THANKS FOR YOUR CARDS EVERYBODY AND FOR SUPPORTING YOUR MANY FELLOW WORKERS WHO HAVE ALSO SENT IN THEIR CARDS!
ReplyDeleteThe CONTRACT is what is IMPORTANT in all of this. That is the goal. Everyone should read the BALL CONTRACT - that is a current active contract. Any anti-union or other "facts" or rumors are designed to bring you away from the subject:
The contract link can be found top right of this
site - just click and read
Why are we excited about this contract? It is worse than what we have in nearly every way. Worse pay, worse healthcare coverage, unpaid lunch breaks. Why should we expect anything more? Come on guys, convince me. I don't like the way the plant is going either, but there is no way I'd vote yes on this contract and take a $10 an hour pay cut!!
ReplyDelete7:27am - Is that you Dan? Or is it Warren? Or is it the peoples manager?
ReplyDeleteWell anyway - the first answer is that ANY contract is better than what you have -which is no contract and NOTHING written down. You also have no say in any changes positive or negative.
The second answer is that the Ball Metal contract is what a contract looks like, what it covers. No one is suggesting that you will maagicly switch to that exact contract.
Heres a little poem I learned in Labor Law School
With a written contract,
at least you have a prayer,
with no written contract,
all you have is AIR.
Makes sense to me.
Come on guys,You really think where going to get lower salaries! We are voting on this to preserve what we have left.Brito already said he wants us to be paid in the mid salary range with top performance.Do you really think we would take a drastic cut in pay and work the same job. Remember where not trading one dictator for another. We vote on the contracts and issues
ReplyDeleteREMEMBER: WE HAVE A SAY! WE MAKE OUR OWN CONTRACT WE WILL JUST MODEL IT ON BALLS!
I also would hope that the wages and everything else is more in line with what we receive now. That is from a totally different company. I don't want to lose anything else thats why I am for a union.
ReplyDeleteProduction tech hourly rates go as high as $30.00 plus. Would anyone at the top end have to give anything up?
ReplyDelete9:46 pm - Do you think the company would really do that to those people? Why would they want to do that?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, give anything up for "what"?
I heard that certain managers are going around the plant trying to get information out of us by saying that they're on our side. News flash to the management, were not stupid. There's also certain employees going around trying to get information and then running back and telling management. If you see Jeff Boes or Jim Tuttle come your way, watch out
ReplyDeleteI hope that everyone really watches and analyzes the managers behavior during all of this. How it changes them and makes them nicer and care more. Too bad we couldn't call in a psychology class in to observe it.
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't hire actors to play this better. I got the tapes...lol
Everybodys gonna be your friend now. You're the big chocolate bar. Everybody in management loves and looks out for you now.
Just don't want that nasty contract.....it's bad for you.
It's like the wolf telling little red riding hood the woods are safe cause he has her back.
Lets talk about that July 11.
How close are we getting too coming to a vote ?
ReplyDeleteThe longer this goes on the more time they have to scare team members.
It is very important for everyone to be at the Union Meeting on July 11th.
ReplyDeleteWhether you are for or against the union - it doesn't matter.
You need to be at the union meeting to understand what is happening.
I am on the fence, but I think it is easy to tell which managers care and which don't. Not fair to lump them all together. To me that's not what this is about. I'd like to learn more though.
