VOTE YES FOR IBEW 363: United We Stand



The people are UNITED Tony - did you get that feeling during your visits?....SURE YOU DIDN'T.

Nice touch too Dan, Tony and the rest of you - using drug tests to scare the people.We will still have drug testing in the contract - don't get me wrong.

The difference will be that after the contract is signed you won't be able to fabricate the "random" part anymore. I'm taking that tool you have available to harrass people who don't do drugs but do things you don't like - like call in the union.

You ALSO lost votes AGAIN WITH BAD TIMING WITH THAT STUPID MOVE JUST BEFORE THE ELECTION. Are you really trying to lose? You can't possibly be this inept - can you??

    of the Supers did't get rewarded other then a days pay that they could care less about.No disreguard against the team leaders they work hard and put up with alot of shit. My brothers and sisters united we stand vote yes.

    The constitution of the United States of America is a Contract between the people of this great country and the government agencies that runs this country.

    If a contract is good for this country, it will be good for our plant.

    Wow, I hope the food you ate wasn’t poisoned, or drugged to make you talk?

    I am ashamed that Holly would break company policy.

    I thought no Hourly Employee could leave the building without punching out at the time clock (Kronos) and that person would receive a late on his attendance record.

    We should all ask for a copy of the time clock for that day.

    Ya right , like they would show us.

  10. It seems no matter how hard management tries they seem to have an uncanny knack for aiming squarely at their foot and pulling the trigger. Everything that they try now (too late) is contrary to their actions in the past. And it is so transparent that it has the opposite effect of their intention. Too bad. The gap widens and 363 is closer to reality, or their worst nightmare. There will no longer be rule by decree. Send them the message, we are united.

  11. I have been in contact with them and have access to their contracts now. REALIZE THIS FACT - Whether they are doing better or worse is really not relevent. They are not us. Neither is Ball.

    Don't fall for the management trick of comparing you to everybody else - we know what we have - we just want it signed.

    You guys have some great things and you guys have some not so great things. We need to get what YOU have down in writng in a contract.

    And we want the ability to improve it.

    You guys are going to win this for YOURSELVES!

    We 1st live in New York where everything cost’s more. $$$$$$$$$

    We need a contract that reflects that. $$$$$$$$

    We need to negotiate a Contract for Us.

    Not another plant.

    We are MCC Newburgh and our contract will reflect that.

    We are one of the best can plants in the country and we make AB Inbev lots of MONEY.

    All we ask is to share the Money.

    We are not greedy.

    We will be fair.

    We just want a Voice.

    Holly took 2 Team leaders out to lunch on company time. How long were they gone??? You cant go to TGI Fridays order, eat and get back in 40 Min.

    This is the problem with the so called case by case basis! Team members can go to lunch with a manager and theres no problem. The real problem I have is we had a team member with a inlaw on their death bed and desperately needed to bring his wife to the airport so she could see them before they passed away. There should have been NO hesitation at all, NONE! Just like team members calling up Dave Leham during the snow storm and asking if they would get an occurance if they come in since they were already late. Dave said, "you'll have to do what you think is right" not giving the team members a direct answer at all. The team member was willing to come in during a state of emergency if he wasnt going to be banged with an occurance.

    This is the type of management we have here!!
    These are the people that are saying they are looking out for your best interest not the union.
    In order to be such a people person you have to have a degree, unless you fit their other requirements. No one knows them because you never see the out come of tests or interviews, not even the scores are given out. sounds fishy to me!

    Team members go through all these tests and hoops to get in here and months of waiting to get the best of the best, well how the hell do they pick there management out of one of those surprise vending machine.

  17. However, in order to afford to buy Anheuser-Busch last year, InBev had to borrow very heavily from a syndicate of banks, including JP Morgan Chase. As a result, the combined group is now saddled with more than $50 billion in debt. Yet despite weaker sales in 2009, the company said in August that their net profit for the quarter rose 28 percent. What InBev is not saying is that they are trying to turn a huge profit in a downturn economy on the backs of their employees. And while AB's workers have already faced cuts and layoffs, it's a distinct possibility that InBev's attempts to balance their deficit asap will continue to threaten the jobs of current employees at the 11 other breweries and Anheuser-Busch facilities across the country.

    The laid-off janitors at the Newark brewery had been making $13.30 an hour and receiving healthcare. Now, they're worrying how they're going to feed their children and pay their bills. "This is an awful time for Anheuser-Busch to watch these workers be put out on the street,"said Kevin Brown, New Jersey area director for SEIU. "The holidays are right around the corner, and in this economy, the workers may not find jobs that pay the same wages. They may only find minimum-wage jobs that don't even cover their basic bills."

Last year I suggested to a couple to try bud light instead of Miller light and they laughed while walking away saying The Brazilians can stuff it.

  20. We were told at a communication meeting that the heavy stock owners are Brazilian and they invested family money into ambev they are not concerned about AB all they care about is the money. Using an iconic great company to line their pockets.

    even if they could show us the kronos for that
    time period. You know it would just be a fabrication. Everybody knows they can adjust the
    clocks. Add or subtract time. The two team leaders in question probably agreed to have the
    time deducted off there pay after the fact to try and make this blow over.Just to receive in their next pay or another.

  34. Let the managers know that this time things are different. In the past we had union drives but in those days no one was in their right mind to vote one in. Why you ask? I know all of us were not treated the same but we had something that no other work place had and that is the pleasure of working for a company that treated its employees with an awesome benefit package along with liberal break policy's out of work activities and acknowledgment of pain and suffering of family.

    Now we have just the opposite we are truly just like any other company one that takes for the benefit of a few. Our pride is in Burritos pocket the workmanship of AB products are diminishing the inconsistencies of management are magnified (not because they were not there before) all because of the greed and the feeling that this company is not capable of treating people right and the faltering of an AMERICAN company hacked up and being sold as junk. Its a damn shame a real sham that the managers are so brain washed its pathetic. But we all sense from the ECM's and talks with management that they too are trying to convince themselves that this is right. Ask yourselves if the economic conditions were better would this be the company you would want to work for? We all know your answer. So, SO , very sad.

  35. Im a Team Leader and I have at times had to fill
    in as SUPP. This is definitely out of the norm.
    One can definitely as to question the motives of
    Management(HICKMAN) by doing this? I know other team leaders were scared as to think there jobs or job title would no longer be further required if a union were to exist in our plant.But fortunately that is not the truth.That is what management wants us to believe,to keep us TLs scared and against unionizing. So those TLs you know who you are keep on your game face. And those of you who don't... Do you actually think management will be out on the floor running crew full time if a union were here? They couldn't take the Heat! or the Hours! And to all of my fellow and equal team members, the only difference between us is responsibility and pay. I urge you to not trust in confiding in any of us TLs because you are going to have a hard time telling us apart that is if you can.sorry we cant really be there for you right now i hope you understand But where going to have to watch our asses right now.also I suggest watch yours also.You haven't seen nothing yet.REMEMBER:LIKE A ROCK!!

  36. So, how goes the insurrection? Are we still good to go? Did this lunch/fishing trip happen before or after the union filing? If after, isn't this some kind of bribery or unethical act, whether innocent or not? It seems the fishing trips have really increased, with anti-363ers selling their souls and fellow team members out, mostly erroneously. And why are the anti's the most obnoxious and loudest boors spouting their diatribes. Creating what the company calls a "Hostile Work Environment". Gee, should we complain to management? When this is over we all still have to work together and the individuals will be reconciled back to the fold. And thanks to those breaking their vacations to come and vote.

    Let them be obnoxious and loud. The fact remains that you have NOTHING with a written contract. Being loud about choosing NOTHING OVER SOMETHING is not something you or I can help them with right now.

    Even those people, the few so against this now - will benefit right along with the rest of us in the long run.

    Don't forget, the majority of them are probably scared to death of making management mad if they thought they were pro-union.

    .....AND WHEN THE ELECTION IS ALL OVER WE WILL WELCOME THEM INTO THE FOLD AND TO BE PART OF OUR GROUP AND OUR UNION,
    IBEW LOCAL 363.

    No one can deny that having a WRITTEN CONTRACT will be the safest choice for all of the workers in the Newburgh plant. Together, we will get that for everybody!

    .....and it's coming soon. WE ARE ALL GOING TO VOTE YES FOR IBEW LOCAL 363 TO GIVE OURSELVES THAT RIGHT!

    Let's think of this chronologically.

    Eric Moulds shows his appreciation to his dedicated workmen by paying them for the time they risked their lives and broke the law to come to work in one of the most damaging snowstorms in recent history.

    As a manager, I think Eric did the right thing. He showed appreciation for the sacrifice that his workers did .... for the company.

    He was fired by our "Ethical" management.

    A hardworking Production Technician has a family crisis. His wife asks for a ride from the entrance to the airport, to the terminal.
    Our "Ethical" management in the meantime have created a new Einsatzgruppen Law that only they are permitted to leave the building during work days. If a hourly worker leaves, he must punch out, and he earns an occurrence.

    What loyalty would have been created IF, and I say IF, our Managers would have pulled that PT to the side and said. "This is what I want you to do. Take care of your wife. Make sure she's safely on her way. I want you to be safe as well. No speeding, no tickets, and no accidents. YOU are important to MCC Newburgh, we need you back as soon as possible knowing that your family is cared for. If you need anything, here is my number, please call me first".

    Now to our latest MCC adventure.

    Folks, the comment or adjustment of Holly's name was not a good thing.

    I'm going to err on the side of grace here. Holly did a good thing in a bad environment. She wished to show here appreciation to her two Team Leaders for jobs well done. From what little I know of these two Team Leaders they seem like pretty good guys. Perhaps it could have been orchestrated better, but saying thank you by deed and word is a good thing. Too bad it happened in a toxic environment built by MCC Newburgh's Senior Managers.

    For no other reason we need representation. We need structure. We need order.

    Our present management makes rules on the fly, discipline without uniformity, praises today what they punished yesterday.

    Eric Moulds did a good thing, and was fired. He cared for his people.

    Holly did a good thing, and with the twisted logic used by our senior management, who knows what's going to happen.

    Management dropped the ball with the PT in crisis. Your wafflin' may have added a vote or votes to the folks in favor of the union.

    Sadly the days of loyalty have faded once again. It's cyclical. Employer's at one time understood that a happy, hard working employee was the best future for their company.

    We're back to the days of the "Haves & have-nots". MCC Managers, AB managers, In Bev Managers prosper greatly on our sacrifices and pad their pockets with shameful bonus', while the cut the throats of those who butter their bread.

    For no other reason, we need the IBEW to build a foundation we can stand on, a firmament that MCC Newburgh Management and MCC Workers can build on.

    Each day we use standards and SOPs to ensure that we are performing our jobs in a uniform manner. The IBEW has offered to provide us with a standard and an SOP, in the form of a contract, to make sure MCC Newburgh continues to excel.

    We need nothing less than a standard to guarentee we will excel.

    That standard is an IBEW contract.

    We all need to sing to the same sheet of music.

    Here's a thought:

    Maybe Dan will come to the meeting on Wednesday and announce that the company RECOGNIZES THE UNION and that IBEW 363 and ABINBEV are going to work together for the betterment of both the company and the workers.
    ...and that we would begin talks in that direction right away.

    That is what should happen - Why can't we all just talk and make things work out? I will float that offer next to Dan and see what happens.
