How About Answering These Questions Dan

Dan,

We have these questions - there is still no response. I was wondering if you could give your answers to the people in the next meeting?

Sam

If we don't choose IBEW Local 363 will the company promise to let us keep what we have?

If we don't choose IBEW Local 363 will the company promise to never cut our benefits?

If we don't choose IBEW Local 363 will the company promise to never cut our wages?

If we don't choose IBEW Local 363 will the company promise not to eliminate positions?

If we don't choose IBEW Local 363 will the company promise we won't ever lose anything we have from now on ?

If we don't choose IBEW Local 363 will the company ever change any working conditions we have now such a breaks and breaktimes, lunch times and other work rules without our input?

THE FACT IS THAT THE COMPANY WON'T TELL YOU ANYTHING ABOUT ANY OF THESE THINGS. .........whyyyyyyy???

Because they want to be able to change them and or take them away at their will.

That is why you need a contract. With a contract, they will still want to change things BUT the difference is that....

WITH A CONTRACT - you are at the table helping to devise the changes.

WITHOUT A CONTRACT - you have no input and if the change hurts - so be it.

NOTHING THE COMPANY CAN SAY CAN CHANGE THE FACT THAT HAVING A CONTRACT IS THE MOST INTELLIGENT CHOICE.

This is really not the HUGE complicated issue the company makes it out to be in their anti-union meetings.

It's not about what I get paid either. That's a smokescreen just showing that they think you are ALL idiots. DO THEY THINK YOU ARE SO SHALLOW MINDED THAT YOU WOULD GIVE UP YOUR RIGHT TO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING BECAUSE I MAKE TOO MUCH? - GOOD TACTIC DAN. Although I will be PSSd if Dan makes more than I do. I know I work 100 times harder than him. If I was Britto he would be fired right now for playing around with this and not blowing production off the charts.

This is going to turnout to be great for everybody! Even Dan, if he is still here. We will help finetune this plant and make it better than ever!

We will just do it as a union plant, that's all.

STAY STRONG, STAY SOLID, LISTEN AND BE POLITE, TELL THEM WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR AND THEN JUST VOTE YES FOR IBEW LOCAL 363.

  1. Is it legal to hold a debate between Management and the Union?

Everyone in the room at the same time.

All questions would be deposited into a box at the entrance to the debate room and the facilitator of the debate would read the questions.

THAT MEETING WOULD BE A PACKED HOUSE!!!

  2. It is already in my plan - I think it is the only way to go - when I schedule our next meeting I will invite Dan and we will debate in front of everyone.

This way everybody can REALLY see and hear BOTH SIDES at the same time.

The IBEW is not afraid or oppposed at all to debating - we have NOTHING TO HIDE.

We will not engage in personal barbs. We will only debate about contracts and unionizing and how it would affect the workers. We will also debate how NOT unionizing will affect the workers.

Would everybody like to see that happen too?

  4. Let me see if I got this right. In the past few months our local management has done the following:
Written up a team member for a managers mistake.
Reduced our break time after 23 years.
Stopped team members from going to the store to buy lunch.
Allowed Warren's condescending and demeaning "victory dance" in the cafeteria.
Restricted access to the front office.
Eliminated safety breaks following line sweeps.
Increased efforts to blame team members for everything that goes wrong in the plant.
Added to the number of team members doing managers work.

All this (and probably more that I can't recall right now) and yet we must listen to Dan ask why we are considering a union?

In addition we are dealing with the wage and pension freeze, health care increases, 401K fees and an assortment of other cuts and reductions.

I don't know how much more of the company good will and informal atmosphere I can stand.

  9. I'm in favor of a debate between management and our union.

I doubt that InBev management would allow it management's participation.

Sam thanks again for the hard work.

Things are tense in the plant. Everybody needs to pull together, do your job, don't take advantage of your co-workers, stay strong, stay focused on the target. The workers are not asking for much, we've lost So much, we just don't want to lose anymore while other's are getting filty rich off of our sacrifices.

  11. I guess thats the best way for all of us to make an informed choice between union and ABI. Put everybody in the same room for a Q&A session! Lets put it all on the table. Dan vs. Sam, who will win? Who has the most to win with lies or truth? My money is on.............

  12. Dan knows he will lose,he won't show up that's why i'm sticking to 363 that's the real dealer

  14. Jaxs say..........Good luck you are getting closer
vote yes don't listen to that bull shit they are feeding you we are union and we like it don't let them kid you. The managers don't want to lose their power.you will have a voice.

  15. My money is on us.

The vote is between us and Inbev.

Sam represents us. Dan represents Inbev.

    Who pays Sam? We do.

    Who pays Dan? Inbev does.

The union promises us a contract.

What does Dan promise us. Nothing..... he doesn't make those decisions. He doesn't know what our future holds. He doesn't even know what his own future holds.

VOTE FOR US - VOTE YES

    ReplyDelete
  16. Thats the best Dan statement of the entire campaign -

"He doesn't even know what his own future holds"

....and yet he wants to "lead" you to that same future - with no input, no say, nothing written down - and he thinks that is best for you.

Where's the "no union" plan Dan? Tell the people what the plan is - lay out their hours, wages, benefits and working conditions that the company will implement or change in the next 5 years. Tell the peopel what the future holds AFTER THIS ELECTION AND THEY HAVE NO UNION.

Go over that in your meetings. You remind me of politicians who just say the other guy is no good but never ever say what THEY stand for.

Let it all out - put it on paper - bring it to the next meeting and pass it out.

Or bring it to the Knights Inn next week and we can discuss it.
