so what is it Dan? We understand now that if there is any pressure to take away from us it will be coming from the company and not the union. why would you do that to us dan? you keep throwing questions about wages and benefits when it is really only you that would ever try to lower anything.

forget it dan your losin this time bigtime

  2. Everything sounds good coming from local 363, they really sound like a class organization. I'm sorry I did not make it to the meeting. You're probably not going to tell me anything I don't already know about pro-employee/union benefits. Both parties are trying to make a buck off our tired backs and feet.

I've been part of union happenings in the past with two different employers and I can certainly tell you things will be different with a union. Things will not be better or worse, just different. Thank you to the folks at 363 that are allowing us to see some of the benefits you have to offer.

Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclination, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.

Should we decide to vote yes, we had better be a unified voice when we vote. Please do not criticize those you disagree with, just give facts and remember:

A Spoonful of Honey will catch more Flies than a Gallon of Vinegar.

Benjamin Franklin, Poor Richard's Almanack, 1748

One last thing, we are a family at Metal Container, some of the supervisors we work with are also our friends, you know who they are, please do not treat them with any disrespect. It will better for us to take the high road, be civil and courteous. Maybe our management team will learn something from us. You can disagree with anyone's point of view and still allow them the respect of their opinion.

    Thank you

  7. Dan and some of the management are showing us disrespect by misleading us in his letters and speaches. having some of his managers talk to employees about union activity when they know it is against the law and a violation of our rights. Guess i will personally buy a tape recorder just to catch you guys.
I would love to put my name on this but because of the fear that managment has instilled in us i cant because i will be targeted for termination. what a sad way to have to work. Do we trully still want to work this way, I know i dont.
    Go 363

  8. why would a simple sign get knocked down when i was encouraged to go to that meeting.Talk about mixed signals, i know one thing ,with a contract in hand the signals will never be mixed.I was only 70% solid but after realizing that sign could be me getting knocked down by our "suits" i'm 100% solid, thanks for opening my eyes more.

  9. as was said,Lt. Dan was not at jax very long and he was not the plant manager, so in all fairness not much can be said about him. what i can say foresure is that even with fl. being a right to work state, we at jax are alot better off with a union.
