My Baby Danny She Wrote Me A Letter - said he couldn't live without me no more

Just read "The Letter" from Dan. I would like everyone to pay close attention to the "facts" he points to in every letter he writes.

NONE OF THEM HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH HAVING OR NOT HAVING A CONTRACT AT THE MCC NEWBURGH PLANT - NONE OF THEM.

By the way, Danny didn't even write most of that letter or any letter he signs from now on - - it is written for him by some paid entertainer hired by the company - it's kind of like a paint by numbers kit. The hard parts are all done for ya'. We have management confirmation of that.

IT IS AMAZING HOW DAN is SO CONCERNED about this issue - the UNION/CONTRACT. He is so concerned that YOU WILL MAKE the right choice. He ALWAYS does that and always did that. DIDN'T HE?

Remember when you were worried about your 401K AND how DAN helped you find the answers you needed? REMEMBER HOW CONCERNED HE WAS THAT YOU ONLY INVEST IN DIVERSIFIED STOCKS SO YOU COULDN'T LOSE MONEY?

I bet DAN wrote you ALL TONS of LETTERS explaining ALL OF THE OPTIONS so YOU WOULD MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICES - DIDN'T HE?

We will answer all of your questions too Danny - on July 11. Have who you send in take good notes.

Dan here's what gonna happen. Soon, you are going to get in too deep and you are not going to know how to answer anything anymore - then you will be replaced by the "new guy" or some attorney - or the guy who really writes your letters now.

Then that guy will write more letters and repeat the same things over and over. All of the points are twisted to scare you into thinking that wanting to form a union is bad and having a contract is not something we need to talk about.

We should instead discuss why since 1985 union membership is down in the United States. That should help us decide if we should have a contract here in Newburgh or not.

On July 11 we will discuss everything everyone wants to discuss. I will have a way so that no person has to speak or stand to ask the question if they don't want to.

We will EVEN discuss Dans big zingers.

  4. was getting ugly over in Belgium. And it appears Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer, cried “uncle” first.

A-B InBev said Thursday it has agreed to freeze planned job cuts in Belgium to get workers to drop a two-week brewery blockade causing beer shortages at supermarkets and bars.

    The AP report continues:

The company and Belgian trade unions said they struck a deal that postpone talks on the brewer’s plans to reduce 303 jobs in Belgium – some 10 percent of its workforce there. It says it will also create 40 call center sales positions, bringing net job losses to 263.

“We have found agreement,” said LBC union spokeswoman Annemie Plessers. She said that would lift the blockade and allow such beers as Stella Artois, Leffe and Jupiler to be distributed again from Friday.

“The plan has been withdrawn,” Kris Croonenborghs of the ABVV union confirmed to Reuters. “I believe the blockades will end by tomorrow.”

But this raises the question about the other 500 or so layoffs planned throughout Western Europe. The Belgian spat ignited after A-B InBev announced it wanted to cut 10% of its 8,000 workers in Western Europe. Only workers in Belgian took to the streets and blockaded breweries. Will the deal encourage workers in other countries to take action?

I have no problems with the Unions facing down ABI and making them give in to their demands. This ain’t no mom-and-pop company that is struggling to pay bills and buy health care benefits for five or six employees. This is a multi-billion dollar a year PROFIT company that is going to give bonuses in the TENS OF MILLIONS of dollars to the CEO and other executives for the slash-and-burn cost cutting tactics that have been employed since the buyout.

Three cheers for the Belgian workers! However, the American had better beware. Inbev will be coming after more of your jobs and benefits next, thinking that you will be an easier target!

This is a horrible thing for ABI. By giving into the lawlessness of the Union, they set the stage for more uprisings in the future. Just like the mom in line at the grocery store that continues to give in to the kid screaming for candy, Unions now will kick and scream until ABI breaks down and gives in. ABI should have said no just as that mom should.

  7. COBRA-venom January 21, 2010 at 9:03 UTC
yes, COBRA is paid by former employers. however, InBev is seeing to it that, some former employees cannot access COBRA. Well done Burrito! Well done Messrs Brickey and K______!

The lovely precedent just set, will be a mighty sword of Damocles for the boys from brazil.

The poster sighting the dog catching the firetruck….is spot on and, wins a cookie !

Todd, we all saw the post about multiple jets flying somewhere this week…where is the story?
also, where is the update on the down cast woman who filed against Inbev for her termination?

  10. To the union workers in Belgium – I say Well Done! But ABInbev gave in much sooner than I would’ve thought. Watch out, Brito and his henchmen must have a plan B.

To Missouri Conservative – There is no comparison between a mother giving in to a child wanting candy and hard-working employees standing up for themselves against selfish, greedy corporate raiders. Your opinions show a complete lack of basic humanbeing. I am so grateful I am not like either of you.

ity. You, like Brito, appear to be cold hearted, self-serving and an extremely poor excuse for a human Report this comment
