IBEW LOCAL 363 - Happy To Answer The Peoples Call!

IBEW LOCAL 363 - HAPPY TO HELP AND ANSWER THE PEOPLES CALL!

BUT SOME of your co-workers STILL NEED YOUR HELP. They are not sure of which direction they want to go in this election. They have not yet realized the ABSOLUTE value of a written contract. They MAY be on the "fence" mostly out of fear. FEAR of retaliation from the company. Fear of being punished. Fear of being "found out".

Those employees WILL GET YOUR HELP TOO. The majority of YOU - their co-workers - WILL REACH BACK AND BRING THE REST OF THE FENCE SITTERS FORWARD WITH US ON AUGUST 27/28.

YOU WILL HELP THEM NOW BY VOTING YES IN OVERWHELMING NUMBERS. Don't crowd them now. Let them make up their mind either way.

Let's concentrate on being a solid block of YES votes for our future. The number of YES VOTERS we have right now WILL WIN THIS ELECTION BIG! LET'S STAY STRONG! - afterward we will bring everyone forward with us.

Everyone is welcome into the IBEW Family.

There is only one reason a person would not vote for their OWN RIGHTS - they have been threatened or feel threatened.

OUR BLOCK OF YES VOTES NEEDS TO MAKE UP FOR THAT AND HELP TO OVERCOME OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS FEARS ....

.....AND WITH OUR NUMBERS WE DO THAT THREE FOLD. STAY STRONG!!!!!

The greatest thing about this election is that ONLY YOU GUYS CAN VOTE. Everything is ultimately left up to the people to decide. After 42 days of information YOU get to decide WHICH WAY YOU WANT TO WORK IN THE FUTURE:

1) WITH A UNION, WITH A VOICE AND WITH A WRITTEN CONTRACT
2) WITHOUT A UNION, WITHOUT A VOICE AND WITHOUT A WRITTEN CONTRACT.

There is no compelling reason for anyone to want number 2. It makes no sense if you are given a choice between each.

STAY STRONG, STAY SOLID, BE POLITE, BE QUIET, DON'T DEFEND, LISTEN,

SUBSTITUTE THE WORDS "THE PEOPLE" FOR "THE UNION" WHEN KEN AND DAN SPEAK AND

JUST VOTE YES ON AUGUST 27/28 FOR IBEW LOCAL 363

  2. Dear MCC
We as a group need to stick together
We need to trust ourselves and only ourselves
We need to make a decision that will affect our lives forever
This decision is no joke and both sides will tell you this
This is a decision that we must make because we the people believe that it’s the right way to go
I firmly believe that with all my heart and My Family believes that this is the right way to go
We have to STAND TOGETHER and be ONE VOICE with ONE FORCE
    We need to be STRONG
    We need to be SOLID
We need to LISTEN with ONE EAR AND LET IT GO RIGHT OUT THE OTHER EAR
    We will be IBEW #363
I firmly believe this because of the past events that lead to this DRIVE
We are all products of OUR ENVIORNMENT and we need to make THIS ENVIORNMENT better
We need a CONTRACT to do this
In the past we were all promised things were going to change
It changed for a while, then it went right back to the way it was before
Tony left and it hasn’t been the same since
Tony ran this plant like a business, a good one when things didn’t work right he got to the bottom of it and got them fixed
    The passion came from him
Now the passion comes from inside of us
    We need to change things
They always say “we have to accept change” and “change is good”
Well now we have the power to make things better
We will do this by VOTING YES ON AUGUST 27TH AND 28TH
We will make a NEW CONTRACT WITH OUR CONCERNS IN THERE
We will do this because it’s good for the Company and OUR FAMILIES
Our families will have to want this also
ONLY then can we make this a better place to work
ONLY then can we all become ONE FAMILY WITH ONE VOICE
THE VOICE OF THE IBEW #363
ONLY THEN CAN WE TELL THEM YOU NEED TO ACCEPT CHANGE AND CHANGE IS GOOD FOR BOTH OF US.
Then we can negotiate a CONTRACT for the benefit of our FAMILIES and the COMPANY
FOR NOW LISTEN WITH YOUR HEART
LISTEN WITH ONE EAR AND LET IT GO OUT THE OTHER EAR
    LISTEN TO YOUR FAMILY
    LISTEN TO YOUR HEART
LISTEN TO WHAT YOU BELIVE IS RIGHT
WE NOW YOU WILL VOTE YES ON THE 27TH AND 28TH
WE ALL HAVE THE FAITH WITHIN US TO BELIEVE

We have been ready for this since the July 11 meetings. Sam has answered every question since this started. All we got from the company was lies, forced boring stupid meetings and veiled threats about losing what we have and our jobs.

Let's make this happen and turn the tables. We will have a say in what goes on here from now on. Enough of this crap from them. Who the hell are they? They are INBEV pee -ons too no different then us. Maybe they are jealous because we have a way to make it better for us, we can unionize. Dan and Ken can't do that. They will be lapdogs for the rest of their lives and they can't stand it that we are leaving them behind.

  6. The way I see it is this: They pled poverty at wage and benefit wage increase time. Then a month and a half later they have Pete Kramer and Tony, and a third person (who I now think was Ken)(anticipation of an insurrection?, probably, coincidence? I think not!) come to the plant and give a we've never done better speech. Complete 180 from what we were told earlier. What does that mean? Euro bonuses. And they make complete lying asses out of the Dan and Dave Show. The past performance reeks of empty promises and not just on Dan's watch. If you are sitting on the fence tink about everything you have seen or heard, remember every rumor has a basis in fact, and I am from MCC Corporate and I am here to help you. Take control of your destiny, vote your conscience, vote. Vote yes. To no more Totalitarian Rewards. We aren't about hurting the company, it's about having a say in the company. Remember they always said you are an "empowered employee" and the company's future is in your hands. Wipe off your Nike's, they lied. This is your real chance to be an empowered employee. Don't Blow It!

  7. the team members that are against the union make themselves known. alot of them sound off real loud. so we know who you are. i have spoken to them in the past at one time or another and just about every one of them bitch and complain about the company and management. you guys need to get on board and stop sucking up. it gets you nowhere. maybe its all an act for the managers i dont know. the bottom line is if it should come down to you or them kiss your ass goodbye

There will always be power in numbers. Divided and we will fall. Instead of wishing you were one of the boys club and lighting up Warren"s smokes, you need to come on board and join the force. The IBEW force.

We need term limits for team leaders.

Vote Yes for the IBEW but more importantly, vote yes for yourselves.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Well guys, if your a team leader and anti union. You ought to reflect on that decision. The company wont care after the 27th and 28th. You will be in the union. Period. They wont care how much you suck them off. They cant change the contract, they cant just change the rules as They like. They cant pick and choose who gets there favoritism. They have to follow the contract.Think over your choice well. You wont have that sweet guaranteed overtime that right now you routinely get. They just cant tell you to come in. there will be rules to follow. If you dont like it. Some people say they will leave. So to you I say. Goodbye.

  10. When management first heard this union was coming they were so nice, really now, why coun'dt they have always been like that? Why? because its phoney. If you asked them a question they did not like they were rude and sometimes downright nasty because they held all the cards. THINK fellow workers, them being nice too will pass. With IBEW 363 we'll be able to ask questions like adults and not be treated like children anymore. The way it should be. STAY STRONG AND VOTE YES on the 27th & 28th. Thank you so much Sam and all that helped at IBEW

  12. Let's talk about what we DON'T need...
WE don't need to be running down other hourly employees, whether they be team leaders or not!

This is detrimental to our chances (for the slower of you humans out there, that means it hurts our cause)

Sam asked everyone a while back to lay off other potential members of 363. So please, don't wait until you have one too many to type some juvenile BS that's only gonna turn off the fence-sitters. When you attack another team member, people notice, and they do not like it at all.

Harmony and the high road will get us there. Shitting on each other just might waste a golden opportunity..

Please, be mature and respectful in your posts...Dog knows, it's important!

  13. Higher Wages

Across most industries, union members earn higher wages than their non-unionized counterparts. For instance, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that mean weekly for a full-time union member in the United States in 2007 was $863, compared to $663 for regular workers. The difference is sharpest among workers in the service industry. At $666 a week, unionized employees make more than one and a half time what other service workers make. By bringing in an average of $134-$219 more than their non-unionized counterparts, unionized state and local goverment employees also win out.

  14. Better Benefits

Union members have more benefits, with better terms, than their non-unionized counterparts. For instance, unionized workers are much more likely to receive health insurance, and pay lower premiums. On average, union members have more paid sick and vacation leave. They are also more likely to get retirement benefits, long-term care insurance, and adoption assistance from their employer.

  15. Better Working Conditions

The labor union movement was created in no small part to address concerns over workplace safety. Unions continue to bargain for and demand safer conditions. But, beyond that, labor unions also have been successful in negotiating for fringe benefits that make working life more enjoyable – benefits such as more breaks, employee break rooms, training, and employee discounts.
    Increased Job Security

Members of labor unions generally have more job security than non-unionized workers. Most union contracts provide that a member can only be fired or laid off for just cause. Additionally, union grievance procedures give workers the opportunity to appeal if their employer does fire them. Non-unionized workers can be fired in many states for any reason at all – provided that reason is not illegal discrimination.

  16. A Voice in How Work is Done

Collective bargaining allows workers to have a voice in the workplace. Individual employees can be ignored because that one person’s labor can be easily replaced, but when a substantial group of employees demand the same thing, employers have to listen because they cannot afford to replace them all. The voice workers gain through collective bargaining allows them to take part in decisions that will affect their work environment – from when breaks may be taken to the procedures for performing a particular task.

  18. No body is sucking up!!!! Maybe you should get your info right before you jump on the band wagon. Has this union said anything at all about what they will do for us? NO. Have they said they will sit down with the team members to discuss issues before they go to the bargaining table to hammer out a contract? NO. But they already have their info ready to go to make sure they get theirs come contract time. I don't know about the rest of you, but union dues are a complete ripoff!!! You expect me to pay $40.00 per pay period for what???? Your return on investment is pretty poor here!!!!

  19. 9:30PM - Welcome! You must have missed the Saturday August 14 story on the blog about how the process works. Of course we will meet with team members and not only that - we will have the body choose some of those team members to help negotiate! It could even be you! I'll reprint the info at the bottom of this for you again so you can read it.

There are some pretty good things that your union can do for you but they all are contained in the most important thing the union can do and that is to get you a written contract. That is the most important thing for everyone as a group. That will protect everyone from any adverse changes being implemented that effect your hours, wages or working conditons without being dicussed with the people first. That can only happen with a contract and ONLY the union can get you that contract - no one else. Another thing is that there is a fair procedure for every employee to have their side heard before being disciplined or losing their job. The contract ensures that discipline is administered fairly. Many times the union even saves peoples jobs by representing that person in their time of need. That could even happen to you 9:30PM and we would be happy to help you too. Something else the union does is that it provides the workers with a common voice - that can't happen unless you are orgainized and recognized as the representative of the workers.

Here is the process - look for all the places where it says the NEW MEMBERS decide, discuss, pick, devise and vote:

IBEW LOCAL 363 WINS THE ELECTION IN A LANDSLIDE.

IBEW LOCAL 363 SCHEDULES MEETINGS WITH ALL FOUR CREWS A,B,C,D, DAY SHIFT, MACHINISTS AND ALL OTHER HOURLY PRODUCTION WORKERS.

OUR NEW IBEW LOCAL 363 MEMBERS DISCUSS WHAT CONCERNS THE PEOPLE HAVE.

OUR NEW IBEW LOCAL 363 MEMBERS PICK OUR SHOP STEWARDS FOR EACH SHIFT.

OUR NEW IBEW LOCAL 363 MEMBERS DISCUSS WHO WE WANT ON THE NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE.

OUR NEW IBEW LOCAL 363 MEMBERS DIVISE THE GAME PLAN FOR NEGOTIATIONS.

OUR NEW IBEW LOCAL 363 MEMBERS AND IBEW LOCAL 363 NEGOTIATE ON EVERYONES BEHALF.

OUR NEGOTIATION COMMITTEE BRINGS BACK INFORMATION TO OUR NEW IBEW LOCAL 363 MEMBERS.

OUR NEW IBEW LOCAL 363 MEMBERS VOTE YES OR NO ON WHAT WOULD BE THE CONTRACT.

THE MEMBERSHIP - AND ONLY THE MEMBERSHIP VOTES TO APPROVE ALL CONTRACTS.

THE MEMBERSHIP - AND ONLY THE MEMBERSHIP VOTES TO NOT APPROVE ALL CONTRACTS.

THE MEMBERSHIP - AND ONLY THE MEMBERSHIP VOTES IN REGARD TO ANY STRIKE.

  21. To nobody is sucking up! I respect that your a person who does not feel that they need a union.
And people do get bumped and bruised a little
when there is a division. Has the union said
anything at all what they will do for us? I believe if you read this blog and look past the
anger and concerns you see from the people. You
will see that the union (the people) Will be able to negotiate with legal representation: salaries, breaks, vacation, sick days,
They will be able to have more clarification
    of overtime,snowdays,
to have a fair treatment policy: that is neutral
    of the company and people
these are some of the many things that sounds of
    concern of the people (union).
Sorry i can not list them all, but things will
be approved or disapproved through the people
our union 363 when we get to that point in a couple of weeks i probably will never get to sit at that negotiating table. But listening
to the people and the blog there concerns sound
quite a bit like my own and i know my voice as well others will be heard! And best of all this is helping us become one! All this for 1 percent my bird stopped chirping along time ago!

  23. Hi Guys. I see you did not get anything added to your package this year. Thats not right because you are the ones working in 90+ degree temps, ink on our clothes and skin, grease and oil on you. ABINBEV profit was up pretty good. Looks like managers are getting their fare share. Talk about getting the shaft.

    ReplyDelete
  24. 9:30 I agree with the other bloggers that nobody should be singled out in this blog, but since you cared enough to look on this site and respond to it, you invite responses. It is evidence enough to all that you care about what everybody else thinks. Hence the fact that you are so angry in your response.I hope you are capable of putting aside emotion for a moment.Fact, you are either negligent with the facts or you are being deceitful. If it is negligence please take the time to read the prior blogs. They will instruct you properly on how the process works. If you are being deceitful, I would rather you not join the union anyway as I would rather work with honest people.I must admit I was overzealous in the term that you were sucking them off. I apologize for that.Rest assured we all know the facts. Its because of these facts that the union was asked to help the rest of us that dont get the special treatment that some do.The fact that without 363 we have no voice. The fact that without the IBEW we have no guarantee that this foreign company will stop slowly and consistantly reducing our compensation with no end in sight. The upper management people are enjoying the fruits of our labor by saying its for the good of the company that your package gets reduced while theirs rises. I could understand if the company was doing poorly but after they paid themselves a decadent amount the company still rakes in billions how can you tell me that I should have to sacrifice? Why?The people on the floor have chosen IBEW 363 to represent them, and defend them. This is not a dream anymore. Its going to be official on the 29th.I would hope that all those who had disagreed with our opinion will finally submit that they are going to be IBEW members on the 29th and that they will be welcomed.
