CLASS IS IN SESSION
First Lesson - Famous quotes in history that sparked unionism in the United States:
"If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding! How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat!"Dan Timutis, Great American Steakout
Don't worry everybody the Captive meetings AND ATTEMPTS AT THOUGHT CONTROL will be all done in a couple of weeks. After that they won't bother with you like they did before. Make sure when it is all over you have chosen IBEW Local 363 to represent you. Only with IBEW Local 363 will your concerns be brought to the table.
Don't you feel like Dan is the "school marm" and you are the kid who just wants to go outside and go fishin'? Who in their right mind wants to hear that same monotone, funeral processionesque, the worlds going to end and I am here to warn you, doom and gloom style of rousing speeches that Dan FORCES you ALL to attend.
This teacher DAN has nothing to teach. In this case, the "kids" know better than the person in front of the room. The thing they don't learn from the teacher is the answer to the MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION in their lives:
"Why will it better for me and my family if I work without a written contract?
Instead of answering the IMPORTANT questions, teacher Dan forces them to listen to mind control speeches to change their logical thinking.
HEY!! Danny! Dave! Ken the Negotiator! Warren! Tony!
Leave them kids ALONE!
STAY SOLID, STAY STRONG, LISTEN AND BE POLITE, TELL THEM EVERYTHING THEY WANT TO HEAR AND JUST VOTE IBEW LOCAL 363 ON AUGUST 27 AND 28
If you dont eat your meat, you can't have any pudding..........
ReplyDelete....but if you VOTE FOR IBEW 363, you can have a contract.
An American automobile company and a Japanese auto company decided to have a competitive boat race on the Detroit River. Both teams practiced hard and long to reach their peak performance. On the big day, they were as ready as they could be. The Japanese team won by a mile.
ReplyDeleteAfterwards, the American team became discouraged by the loss and their morale sagged. Corporate management decided that the reason for the crushing defeat had to be found. A Continuous Measurable Improvement Team of "Executives" was set up to investigate the problem and to recommend appropriate corrective action. Their conclusion: The problem was that the Japanese team had 8 people rowing and 1 person steering, whereas the American team had 1 person rowing and 8 people steering.
The American Corporate Steering Committee immediately hired a consulting firm to do a study on the management structure. After some time and billions of dollars, the consulting firm concluded that "too many people were steering and not enough rowing." To prevent losing to the Japanese again next year, the management structure was changed to "4 Steering Managers, 3 Area Steering Managers, and 1 Staff Steering Manager" and a new performance system for the person rowing the boat to give more incentive to work harder and become a six sigma performer. "We must give him empowerment and enrichment." That ought to do it.
The next year the Japanese team won by two miles. The American Corporation laid off the rower for poor performance, sold all of the paddles, cancelled all capital investments for new equipment, halted development of a new canoe, awarded high performance awards to the consulting firm, and distributed the money saved as bonuses to the senior executives.
We are going to be a union plant real soon. They are going to puke evrytime they see a steak on their management dinner plates for the rest of their lives.
ReplyDeleteYou insulted us then and you still insult us today!
Soon Sam and the IBEW will be representing us and we all can't wait! The best thing will be no sitting in class with boring teacher Dan.
Vote yes for the union! Vote yes for 363!
Remember the difference between a boss and a leader; a boss says 'Go!' - a leader says 'Let's go!' Dan, which are you? The people are screaming and Sam is the only one listening.
ReplyDeleteWhy does everybody keep talking about the Warren victory dance? Who is Warren?
Dear Dan
ReplyDeleteAfter the 8:00 am meeting.
I think you need to have a meeting with all your managers and try to micro manage the Thought Control Process some more.
Then have another meeting about the meeting
Then take your management staff out to lunch to discuss the process
Then have a 1:00 meeting about your lunch
Then repeat this process the next day
And continue until August 27th and 28th
By that time maybe you will realize that it’s too late to stop the landslide
We will have the Great American Steak Out after our victory.
We are Thought Control Wiser
We are Newburgh Strong
We are Solid
We will Vote Yes IBEW Family #363
So please Stop wasting our Time, Because you are just Wasting our Money.

ReplyDeleteInteresting reading in the latest communique. It is lining the birdcage and the parrot is insulted. He tells me it's the same story as the last one. A kind of "repeat after me" kind of thing trying to sway hearts and minds by repeating the message over and over ad nauseum. The parrot won't repeat it why should we? Can't wait for the recap roundtable meeting to hear it again, and again, .....and again. All in all it's just another brick in the wall, All in all you're all just bricks in the wall. "Wall?,what wall?" yep, 3 weeks!

This site is the most remarkable tool to use to unite the people. Sam you are the man.
Somebody bring a puke bucket for Dan on the 28th. Never mind that is already taken care of because Dan will have his obvious bootlicks and anti-union plants to carry that in for him.
ReplyDeleteOne to hold the bucket while hes pukin and the other to hold back Dans hair.

Is it true that you have sent out your updated resume?Come on now we know.We know you have to go out to St. louis again real soon.Tony wants to start prepping you for the move. Anheuser-Busch Inbev, Cut Jobs, Layoff Employees ...Feb 19, 2010 ... Anheuser-Busch InBev's Nevada division cut 90 jobs in its sales department. Those who lost their jobs included several vice presidents.
ReplyDeletewww.employmentspectator.com/.../anheuser-busch-inbev-nevada-division-cuts-90-jobs/ -
Dan we dont need your education.. we dont need your thoughts control.Your thoughts are hazard in the classroom .....Danman leave them kids alone!..
ReplyDeleteAll it all it was.. another brick out of my wall!
Hey 363 thanks for getting me off the wall!!
Danman if you dont eat Daves meat you cant have any pudding how can you have any pudding if you dont eat Daves meat!
I think Dan has had more pudding than Bill Cosby!
ReplyDeleteI see we did not have any brainwashing sessions
ReplyDeletethis rotation! This must be the calm before the
storm. And that means soon the storm will be
over! Yay, and to all my brothers and sisters just
make sure you get that storm insurance, and do not take someones word for it. Have it in writing!
It's important to know history, so that the same mistakes are not repeated.
ReplyDeleteThe last time we had a union drive, Tony said the same thing Dan is saying now "I give you my personal commitment that we will keep working on getting better".
Yet here we are in the same place again. And just like the last time Management is asking for a second chance. Only this is now the third chance.
Why does it take a union drive to make things happen around here?
Why is it that after months of waiting, the countermeasures for our employee survey...weak as they are....are finally posted on SharePoint?
The only way "we are going to roll up our shirt sleeves August 29th to improve some more" is by unionizing.
Again, history repeats itself for those who are unaware. If you want to see what happens after a union vote fails - read the report on the NLRB site about management retaliation. Think about all the things that have happened at "our" plant since Tony promised to change things for the better if we did not vote in the union.
Let's not repeat the mistakes of the past.
Vote Yes to Unionize. Lets stand as one voice, the voice of the hourly worker.
Dan i really got to thank you and management from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for
ReplyDeletehelping us form this union of ours (363).
Truly, if it wasn't for you guys. We would
never have came together as one! Thank you
for telling me i should keep an open mind
based on facts and not emotion.I have weighed
the facts, and sorry to say the decision was
pretty easy. Oh, of course with your help.
Thanks for rolling up your sleeves and really
helping on this very important decision of mine
with out your help i really might have made
the wrong choice. I think the deal breaker was
when you told me that the company would never
lie or be vengeful against its employees. In my
open mindedness i took the advice from another
employee and Googled the name Warren Tomlins
And poof there was the 1994 case of the Newburgh
Union drive..And the court documents that i read
I could not believe my eyes it was sickening, it was horrific, how the company pitted team member against team member. management against team member. The termination of team members
for wanting to unionize. All the things that you
said the company would never do. Then i came to realize who was really lying to me! If any body
wants to read it for yourselves just go to google site and type in Warren Tomlins name.its
sickening it really is. Then come to your own conclusion. Who is lying to you. And is Dan and
Dave really doing this to help us!
You guys are great keep it together you will be a bigger winner then you think.
ReplyDelete7:49PM - Greytag Macbeth moved to Mexico from Newburgh after it was sold. The people walked out right behind another manager who was telling the people to trust him, his boss and the corporation.
ReplyDeleteP&D Electric was a non-union contractor who - about 10 years ago - did one huge job with about 400 union electricians- it was the Galeria Mall in Rockland County. P&D was connected to the mall owner Robert Congel - he actually put them in business - and that is how we got involved with them.
The fact was that P&D had no electrical license in Rockland County - that is also what put the deal together. we had access to that.
Did we lose him? We never had him except for the mall project and because of the electrical license and Robert Congel.
I watched management pull two very experienced Gen-techs out of the tagging area today and put the new guy in tagging. What happened to the new people starting on the Sorter like everyone else in the past? I was told they were being trained in certain areas to ease overtime. The Sorter is a piece of production equipment like the rest..right? Doing line sweeps, picking up cans, cleaning the oil under machines, you know stuff like that. oh wait they did have someone cleaning up after line 4 maintenance, it was one of those gen-techs that was taken out of tagging and the other was stuck on the sorter, and after all these years why isn't he a production-tech yet? That guy is more mechanical then anyone I know. Dan was on the floor today, I saw him talking to some people and walk right by others...Oh they must be on the union list. they do have a list. It has everyones name on it and whether they think you are union or not. I guess if Dan does not talk to you he must think your for the union...Dumb move. I Guess I wont be getting a visit to my Body-makers for the next couple weeks.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry. Dan has already spoken to more than a few people and broken the law. The labor board will have that tape soon and Dan will probably be FIRED for screwing this up.
ReplyDeleteWe might need the tapes and we might not.
A landslide and the tape goes right in the garbage - Dan sticks his nose near the buzzsaw in the next two weeks and screws with innocent people - then he goes in the garbage and I go national and international.
Youtube and facebook etc. are wonderful tools to use - lots of exposure in regard to affecting public relations and exposing a foriegn company who hurt Americans.
Any of my people get hurt by you Dan - the guy claiming to care - or any other of your helpers and I'll publicly blog AND YOUTUBE so hard for a year Brito will quit. I have a hell of contact list nationwide. So far I kept it local and I am planning on leaving it that way - it's really just our business to work out.
If we do it like men - I'm in. If not - I'm in too.
It's your choice Dan. Play nice or schedule that pacemaker I told you about.
Dan,
ReplyDeleteThis is right from A-B Intranet.....How can this be......This stuff can't happen according to you....Read on

Last week’s devastating news about our colleagues at Hartford Distributors touched us all deeply. Ross Hollander and his team are suffering the pain of losing so many friends and co-workers and trying to make sense out of a senseless, unexplainable act. Our hearts go out to Ross, his employees and the families of the victims.
We’ve been in touch with Ross to express our support and are providing both personal contributions and a company donation to a special fund to help the families of victims. The fund was established by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and is for both Teamster and non-Teamster victims. Anheuser‑Busch matched the union donation, providing an additional $50,000 to the Teamsters Local 1035 Hartford Distributors Memorial Fund.
We have seen an outpouring of concern and support from you, asking how you can help. We’re not surprised, since we often think of this business as a family with strong bonds and caring for one another. I encourage all of you who would like to contribute to direct your support to this 501(c)(3) fund. Donations should be sent to:
Teamsters Local 1035 Hartford Distributors Memorial Fund
c/o Teamsters Local 1035
400 Chapel Road, 2-B
South Windsor, CT 06074
This business is filled with great friends we can count on in good times and bad. In losing these employees at Hartford, we have lost eight of our own. Please remember them in your thoughts and prayers.
TIME FOR REAL CHANGE DAN !!!!!
