Looks Even Better Now Doesn't It?

Yes it surely does! Soon the people at the MCC Newburgh Plant WILL SPEAK and the prediction is that they will speak LOUD AND CLEAR.

The people of MCC Newburgh want IBEW LOCAL 363!

It is so clear that there has been talk already about what happens AFTER the election. For those that missed it, it is written on this site a few stories back under "To Clear Up Kens Lies..." in a very concise, easy to read outline. AFTER August 28th, the people WILL HAVE THEIR CONCERNS HEARD by both the UNION and the COMPANY.

IBEW Local 363 is ALREADY PREPARING FOR OUR WORK AFTER THE ELECTION. WHEN THE PEOPLE CHOOSE IBEW 363 WE WILL COME RIGHT OUT OF THE STARTING GATES.

WE NEED YOUR INPUT. WE WANT YOUR INPUT. YOUR COWORKERS NEED AND WANT YOUR INPUT.

I know that you are probably not USED TO GIVING YOUR INPUT but it is a new day for workers in MCC. YOUR OPINION COUNTS NOW - WELL, AFTER AUGUST 28 IT WILL.

The UNION will hear the concerns and formulate a plan WITH THE PEOPLE to have them brought to the table to discuss them with Ken or Dan or Tony or whoever they decide to have negotiate for the company.

The UNION will have a committee made up of hourly workers who are chosen by their peers and IBEW Local 363 at the table.

The COMPANY will hear the peoples concerns and they care so much about you all that they will be nothing but fair.

THE PEOPLE WILL HEAR THE COMPANY REACTIONS TO ALL OF THOSE CONCERNS. THEY NEED TO KNOW WHAT THEIR MANAGEMENT NEGOTIATORS THINK OF THEM.

SURELY THERE WILL BE A SHINING AND CARING REPORT COMING BACK TO THE PEOPLE ON THAT! Just judging from all of the time and caring hours they SPENT TOGETHER with you all in your captive meetings. RIGHT KENNY?

...AND REMEMBER EVERYODY - DAN ALREADY GAVE YOU ALL HIS PERSONAL COMMITTMENT TO WORK HARD AT MAKING THIS A BETTER PLACE!

AS THEY SAY ON "AMERICAN IDOL" - YOU ARE ALL SAFE NOW BECAUSE YOU HAVE DANS COMMITTMENT!

IT'S BETTER THAN ANY OLD CONTRACT!

Of course it was also DAN'S IDEA to forget all this union election stuff and just "roll up our sleeves and get to work!"
Wow....they REALLY JUST DON'T get it.

Please, HONEST - somebody tell me - is there any compelling reason that makes any kind of sense why anyone would NOT see that you have an opportunity to PROTECT YOURSELF HERE BY VOTING YES FOR IBEW LOCAL 363??

...and that it is probably your BEST AND LAST opportunity to do that?

If there is a real intelligent reason that cannot be easily rebutted please post it here. I also reserve the right to swat it like a tennis ball if it doesn't pass the smell test.

Even YOU guys - DAN and KEN.....come on, post it. WHY is it better without a contract working for a new foriegn company that bragged it would cut the little people to pay the big people big bonuses. Tell ME why it's better. I want to know.

You guys NEVER WOULD ANSWER QUESTIONS - especially that one.

You can jump in too Tony. As a matter of fact, IF you are also against the people having a union I would also offer to debate that issue with you PRIOR TO THE ELECTION. I doubt you will take me up on it because debating would be a loser for your position - it is indefensible. ( It is also really against the people you claim to care for ) - Let's care for them TOGETHER Tony.)

On August 28th that sticker will soon be back on that pole and we will STILL BE the BEST WORKERS and we will make that place not only better but as good as it possibly can be.

STAY SOLID, STAY STRONG AND JUST VOTE YES FOR IBEW LOCAL 363

  3. We will be strong Sam! I got a Question Sam? Will our team members be sitting at the negotiation table when we try to pound out a contract? Will they be our shop stewards? And if so, This is to the people, i think it would be in the best interest if we do not elect current team leaders, for i truly believe there best interest is not for the people yet! I believe we need to choose wisely,we need people who do not fold under pressure! People who are in tune with there fellow co-workers! And last
of all we need people who can argue, bargain and
deal for the best interest of the people! So all
of you start thinking about this seriously its right around the corner. Soon to be one, 363!

  4. 9:50AM - YES there will be representatives from each shift on the negotaition committee.

I will need people who have experience in this plant, know the history, know what you have now, know how to express themselves, can follow the lead of the IBEW in te negotiation room and have the interests of the ENTIRE workforce in their heart.

The bottom line is that I need to count on whoever is in there with us to help convey the peoples message.

VOTE YES FOR IBEW LOCAL 363 AND GIVE YOURSELVES A CHANCE TO HAVE A VOICE AT WORK.

I agree that team leaders are not the ones we will chose because number one they are not for the union and I agree with Sam that it has to be people who have been there a long time and people that he trusts. Those people will step forward and the masses of people will all have a say who represents them. This will be a fair process and I think negotiations will go quickly with the company because we are not asking for the world. If they go slowly it will defenitely be the upper management and negotiators that hold this process up. Im also hearing how mgmt. in the plant will react to this and this just shows they have very little knowledge of the process. But thats ok because Sam will help enlighten them lol lol. lets just get through the vote and win by a landslide and the rest will take care of itself. Everyone just stay strong and keep spreading the good news to all team members and don't let Tony fool you with his banter on how he can make this better. If he could have done this he already would have. This is our time now and the big ball is rolling down the hill to fast to stop it. We are commited and we are UNION STRONG. Local 363 we are behind you all the way. RELIEF = IBEW

  12. 6:18 PM - I am working with my computer guy to upload it to this site so I have to wait for him. There may be some information on there you guys already know like they want to get rid of raises, cut hourly employees, do away with the pension, raise health care to 35%, no more retiree medical just a payment ( like your $1000 check but $4000 to last your whole retired life!

The handwriting is on the wall. Having IBEW Local 363 will make your group stronger. WE WILL SPEAK AS ONE.

....and WHO will be causing YOU to LOSE? Yes, they may be planning this assualt for management first but don't think for a minute that their phylosophy will change for you. They have already announced the DIRECTION THEY ARE BRINGING YOU -

NOW IT'S JUST HOW FAR DOWN DO YOU WANT TO GO?

STICK TOGETHER - IT'S THE AMERICAN WAY.

    PEOPLE DO AMAZING THINGS TOGETHER.

  15. HELP - I am addressing this in a new post because I don't want anyone to miss it.

Tony should take me up on my offer and get along for the benefit of everyone.

I'm just here to help the people. It must be very confusing that Tony claims to love the people so much with his left hand and then at the same time he foolishly threatens them with his right.

If anything changes - That needs to be stopped.

The people need a union, the IBEW IS HERE and we will have a contract in MCC Newburgh.

VOTE YES FOR IBEW LOCAL 363 AND THERE ARE NO MORE THREATS.

  17. Sam today we had our round tables with you know who he had a couple of things to say that every
action there is a reaction but he does not understand why we are there for the union.
He quoted that he was the one that would'nt give us a rise & something in our pension because we make enough money and we have a better pension then the union plant, but my feeling is that if we were union we could have got 1% rise and 1 dollar in our pension for three years and the way he explained it we would not get a rise untill union plants caught up with us so there for that would take three years and he is right that we are going to take action so bring on your reaction IBEW.....VOTE YES
PS TO THINK THIS WAS YOUR PLANT LOOK WHERE IT IS TODAY.

  18. Sam this big news you have how will everyone see it when we have team members that don't go on the blog? Also Tony made the ibew sound worthless. He said you only got 8 new members in the past couple of years.

  21. Tony ,
We know you read the blog. We are not fools. So here goes the line in the sand.
I dare you, I dare you,If your so mighty, to debate Sam. Man to man. One on one.
You came down off your mighty thrown to talk to us petty workers.
    Be a man,debate Sam.
    Be a man debate Sam.
Be a man debate Sam. Everybody!
I didnt think you would. All threats though.
You could care less about us. Threatening us through double speak.
You put on quite a show when you were here last time. You acted all concerned.your pissed because your going to actually have to talk to us commoners.Well your highness.WE are american workers here. Not south America. Not Asia.We work hard for our money. You stand on the hill and piss down on us.Then when we say we are tired of getting wet you, you say be glad we have water. We make this plant run, we pump out the cans, and your arrogance is getting the way of you seeing the light of the fact that we are already a union.
If what you say about the union is true, stand up in front of the people ad set the record straight by debating Sam. I make this pledge to you. If you debate Sam in front of any crew just once and show us that your way is the best. I will vote No.I dont think you are man enough to do it.This pisses you off doesnt it. Better watch out. Brito is watching you.
    Be a man debate Sam.
    Be a man debate Sam.
    Be a man Debate Sam.
    Be a man Debate Sam.

  22. Yes, Tony, every action does have a reaction.

That is why we are unionizing!!

    Here's another proof for you

    Let x equal x

    x*164 = 363

We are not chemical formulas, we are not systems, we are not processes, we are not machines, we are not children, we are not powerless.

    WE ARE UNIONIZED!!!!

  23. Redneck from Jax
Hang-in there boy's and girl's. We have been Steelworkes for 35+ years. We went Union then for many of the same reasons you are. The First Amendment gives you freedom of speech, but you better have a Union to protect your Rights. Corp MCC does not like Jax because we talk back, always have, always will. After ya'll (southern for "you guy's") get your Union Officers, they need training, from the Grievance Chairman to the Shop Stewards. Grievance procedure, writing a Grievance, who answers what steps, etc. From what I read here on your "blog" it sounds like the IBEW will be more than able to train and answer any questions. Stay strong, VOTE UNION !!
