Get Ready For Another Visit From Mr. Big Stuff



Tony is coming back. Can you hang on? Don't let him make you feel guilty for protecting YOUR FAMILY BY GETTING A WRITTEN CONTRACT.

IT'S NOT AB ANYMORE.

You do not know what you can expect from ABINBEV but you DO KNOW that you are better off bargaining about it all together. No matter WHAT Tony says - you NEED that contract. How come he has a contract but he doesn't want you to have one? Is he better than you guys now? Who does he think he is?

  3. I am one of the original organizers of this drive.It was a small group of us who met with the IBEW.We picked them because they have a good reputation and experience in the can business. We took this step without people in the plant having any knowledge. We did this for many reasons, but the one that stood out the most was that ABInbev was not AB anymore.We could see the changes from advertising to the corporate disection of AB. It was evident that Brito does not care about the American work force. He doesnt care about anything but the bottom line. We agreed that the purpose of becoming a union was to help us keep what we have.We were not looking to harm the company or anyone in anyway.We are American citizens providing our country with a quality product.We do this very well.The mind set from ABInbev has been shown time and time again that they dont care about the american workers in Newburgh. They tried to sell us and the Government wouldnt allow it. We were kept in the dark about it and nothing was said to us until it was over. Brito made his mission clear it was all about the beer, nothing was said about the cans.Since Inbev took over the hourly employees have been losing money, while the company has been making tens of millions in Newburgh.
    When it came out that we were talking to the union, people instantly wanted to be involved. Nobody twisted any arms to sign a union card and send it in.Anyone who signed the cards had the same feelings we all do.
    whether it is an issue with pay,benefits,retirement,working conditions,or policies, no longer has our input been sought.For years now its been clear that we the hourly workers at Newburgh have NO voice.
    We are going to change that on saturday.We have all come together, with one voice we have spoken. With one voice we will be heard.I know in my heart we will win this election.
    PLease be respectful of eachother and to management.We need to bring this plant to its fullest potential after the vote. We need to show the other plants and to the country that we are better united than apart.
    We are strong, we are united. I am proud.Thank you all for doing your part, this has been done by many, many people.I want to thank the union for standing by us and giving us the support that we need.
    I am grateful to work with so many brave people. It took courage to stand up to a bully and for that I say Thank you.

    Thank you to you and all the of others for starting the ball rolling for us and contacting IBEW 363.

    This Saturday we will be officially a union plant. Boy that feels good. I actually feel like I have a chnace and I get to put my two cents in on how thigs should go. I never had that before. I might not have needed it with AB but I sure as hell need it now. We all do.

    Let's vote heavy yes and really make a statement that we are together as one.

    Can't wait until Saturday!

    Hi everyone, boy its funny that all management thinks this is all about the money and what we can take from the company. They don't see how bad our management is and how much the company takes from US. They don't see that we just all want some protection from upper management so they can't just keep bullying everyone around. Everyone remember this important point. What makes them so scared about the union is that they will have to go through Sam when they make decisions on our well being. THAT IS WHY THEY ARE SCARED... Sam will be protecting us from the kangaroo courts that they will not be able to hold anymore. They will have to follow the rules and not just make them up as they go along like they do everyday in the plant. Everyone has to remember this and all the fence sitters when you get ready to vote remember if you vote against the union then you are voting against protection for you and your family. REMEMBER THIS IMPORTANT POINT. We also will have a say that we just don't have anymore, we kind of did at one time when it was AB. DO you see Luiz Edmond or Carlos Brito coming down here to talk to us. NO we are just a small cog in their big corporate machine. I say as we get close to the vote just vote your heart and what you would like from our company in the future which is respect that Sam and Ibew 363 can provide for us. This is a union that will stand behind us and help us, not the union that the company is trying to show that will work against us. The time is here and now for us to stand up and be counted people. Lets win this in a landslide and show the world that we have meant business all along. This is not 1994 anymore Tony, I think you already know and see that. Lets all go strong at the end of the week. VOTE YESSS and lets finally get what we deserve.

  7. I was anti-union for a long time. These last couple of months have opened my eyes. Tony Dave and Dan must think we are stupid or something. That we are going to jump into the cespool of bullshit and vote no. I am going to vote yes. I hope everybody can see through there games and join in with everybody else in the plant and vote yes. If the IBEW dont come in then Tony and Britto will rape us. Vote YES

    I don't really want a union representing us at MCC Newburgh.

    I would have preferred that our management take care of us as we take care of them. That's what made the United State an industrial power-house.

    Those days are over.

    Corporate and Management greed has arrived.

    The new mantra of our managers, "If I take from them, there's more for me."

    They don't care about us.

Just an example of favoritism that is still allowed to go on at Newburgh.All of management is aware of it and to this moment nothing is done to stop it.A front end team leader routinely goes outside for smoke breaks, be it the side door,front door, or the patio. He does it during day or night shift. He does it with the operations manager too. The rest of us are held accountable for our breaks. We cant hangout outside. we cant be in the cafeteria during closed times.Yet he is the most vocal against the union. Isnt that in itself a violation of labor law, showing special favors for those who support the company side during campaining?There are lots of us who witness this every day.including his superintendant. He is not alone. WE have documented many accounts of special favors.How about the company taking two team leaders out to lunch. Isnt that a violation.Its nice to be the special one isnt it.isnt that right Tony.

    1:18 PM I was non union also. Management has forced our hand to this.

    Voting no will be voting against yourself and for more of the same uncertianty that we have now.

    Voting yes will be an uncertian future because we have not been there before, BUT we will have some say in it and can work for better relations with management and conditions on the floor. It certianly can't be any worse than it is already.

    The choice should easily seen by all by now.
    I don't want more of the same stuff that we have been subjected to, projected into the future. We will lose more.

    I'll be taking the risk of a better future for myself and my family. I'll be voting YES this weekend.

    I know that my backside will be covered by my fellow workers and 363. I also know the current management will throw us under the bus if given the chance, as they have demonstrated.

    I know that if you feel the same, your vote will also be YES!

    I predict that on Sunday we will be MCC/363.

  11. Some really good postings lately. 1:08 and 1:18 show how the momentum is in favor of a YES vote with even those that do not like unions voting yes. This is huge! I hear they are dismissing the blog as childish. Can't wait to see how they explain that one. Is this the same as JUVENILE? I would totally get it then... Same reaction towards us. If they don't recognize that a lot of what we're putting on the blog is real, painful and the result of poor leadership then we are not crazy to vote YES. Been waiting to hear from them that they get it. Not so far. All I hear they said today was how good everything is and has been. Why then are we here?
    Happy to see some history on how this got started. It took a lot of courage and was the result of running out of options and hope. Don't know who these pioneers are but thank you!
    I am not a union man or maybe just wasn't up to now. Don't know if I'll end up being one or if I'll like it. I know I don't very much like where we are and where we're headed having no voice.
    Somehow I understood this is not about which side you like but rather which one you trust. This is what the vote will be about.
    Trust.
    Will you trust our leadership to hold all the cards and do right by you? Or are you looking for a safeguard, limited as it may be?
    I have not seen anything to convince me of it. I tried and hoped.
    Time's almost up.
    I think I have to say YES!
    Who knows, I may end up liking the Union.

  12. I just want to tell all of you guys something. I am so dam proud to be with you guys right now! You guys are an inspiration to me! I am dedicated to you guys because YOU ARE THE BEST.
    I just cannot express how great you all are - we are going to do this bigtime together.....I mean it, I will lay in the road for you guys....you made it like that. WE WILL GET OUR CONTRACT BECAUSE WE ARE ALL GOING TO WORK TOGETHER AND MAKE THAT HAPPEN!

    as a dedicated team member i would ask the rest of you dedicated team members to take some time out of your busy daily activities.
    to sit in a quite room and just reflect on all of the things that have gone on in this facility over the years.

    How most of us have been MISTREATED one time or another over the years.

    try to remember the good hard workers that helped us get to where we are today the ones that were FIRED OR EVEN WRITTEN UP UNDER THE GRAY AREA POLICY OR THE TRUMPED UP CHARGES THAT A FEW OF THE MANAGEMENT STAFF ALWAYS SEEM TO COME UP WITH WHEN THEY WANT TO. THE OFTEN MANIPULATIVE TIMES OF JORGE IGNARA. MANY MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT HIM AND NOTHING DONE ABOUT IT

    POLICIES CHANGING ALL THE TIME AT WILL TO SUIT ONE PERSONS NEEDS FOR THE TIME BEING. ALL OF THE GRAY AREAS. ECT.ON AND ON.

    ALL OF THESE ROUND TABLES AND THEY TOOK TWO WEEKS TO START TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS
