Consistent Message and Communication Strategy

The widespread involvement of anti-union consultants has led to the standardization of the set of tactics and messages that employers typically use. Data from the CRC Survey suggest that employers are frequently successful because they have a consistent message and a well-defined strategy for delivering that message. More than 70 percent of employers in the CRC Survey focused on the following messages in their communication strategy:

• Give the employer another chance.

• The union will take you out on strike.

• Unions charge dues, fines, and assessments.

• Unions cannot guarantee anything.

• The union is a third party that interferes in the employment relationship.

• Unions need your money to survive.

• The employer will never agree to union demands.

Employers use three main techniques for getting their message across to workers: one-on-one meetings with supervisors, mandatory employee meetings, and leaflets. (see Table 3)

Table 3: Employer communication strategies Communication strategy
Percent of employers using strategy

One-on-one meetings with supervisors 91%
Mandatory employee meetings 87%
Leaflets 75%

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE SEEING RIGHT NOW!

Dan obviously is following the playbook very closely. I mean - they don't even go out of order......and all this time we thought you were speaking to us from your heart Dan! It's not even YOU TALKING. It's the shell of you talking. So that must be what all the papers and notes are for. To report back to the "behind the scenes persuader".

It is probably very disappointing for the people to find out that Dan has not been talking SPECIFICALLY ABOUT LOCAL 363 AT ALL. He is just following the cookie-cutter, anti-union course and playbook.

How lame can you get?

You guys in corporate just lost 20 points for lack of originality.

Off with their heads Brito! Get together with IBEW Local 363 Mr. Brito and you can get rid of a couple of your most incompetent managers. I'll even POINT THEM OUT TO YOU.

When you think about it, the union will lighten the managerial load in regard to employee issues. They will all filter through us. Some issues you may never even be bothered with! What a savings to the stockholders! Losing a couple high paid manager salaries on or about August 29 or 30th will do wonders for that bottom line!

So there you have it, the TRUTH about the company anti-union presentations and meetings - it's all orchestrated and FAKE.

DON'T BELIEVE THE MANAGERS WORDS, THEY ARE NOT ON YOUR SIDE IN REGARD TO THIS ISSUE OF WHETHER TO HAVE A UNION OR NOT. DON'T BE SWAYED.

You just read it for yourself - they all say these same things as part of a script.

STAY SOLID, STAY STRONG, TELL THEM WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR AND JUST
VOTE YES FOR IBEW LOCAL 363

  1. This is unbelievable! So that is what Dan really thinks of us, nothing. That explains the negotiator coming in next to tell us he doesn't have to agree to anything.

What does he make a year? Can we find out Sam?

I think the 25 thousand a month is getting closer to 35 or 40 by now. How insulting!

  2. I think this just shows us even more that if a company is willing to spend this much money against its employees that it has an abundance
of capital, remember what management always taught us about company investment, return on
capital. obviously there making a very large
amount money off us by being non union.
